I have heard this so is 1.5 gal too much ?You can die of water intoxication, it's happened in basic training from time-to-time when they're pushing water and some poor soul keeps drinking and drinking and drinking, essentially drowning. You can also destroy your electrolytes and affect your heart rhythm, etc.., I used to tell someone that was leaving the military due to her weight, wouldn't diet, wouldn't exercise, but lugged around a gallon jug constantly; "You can't wash that fat away".
