Is scarring in a muscle tissue a big deal?

Hi,

I am injecting EOD in my deltoids with 25G needle. The thing is, i've found sweet spots for injecting in both my shoulders. No blood, no pain, a perfect injection really. It's very easy for me to inject in the same exact spots every time because they're located in the same place as my brithmarks. But, yeah, i am injecting in the same EXACT spot everytime. Could that be an issue? I heard about tissue scarring but i don't know if it's something i can ignore or not. Needless, to say i don't want to inject somewhere else. Even if it would be a couple of mm difference.

Thanks.

For shoulders there's no reason to even be using a 25 gauge anymore.
You can pin with a 27g-1/2" on the way down to 28,29 or 30 gauge insulin syringes.
Then there's no real issue/worry about scarring.

Thank you. I'll try 27g, although i feel no pain, it's always better to use smaller needle i guess. Out of curiosity, though - is scarring a big issue?

Think about it. Where do you hear about scarring, i.e., track marks?

= IV drug users.

Not people using SQ or IM TRT. Too, how many insulin dependent diabetics are there with "scarring".

None.
