Hi guys,
Looking for some advice following some recent blood work I’ve had.
I’ve been suffering with erecitle dysfunction for a very long time now. Pretty much since I was sexually active in my early 20s which makes me believe I have some fairly major hypogonadism. I never could really understand why it kept happening to me.
I’m a 35yr old and basically I’m at the point where I can only get a good erection with viagra. If I don’t take viagra I either have to not have sex or masturabte for an entire week or I have weak semi hard erections.
Anyway the blood results show I have very high progesterone levels (not sure what effect this has), testosterone is not optimal but to be honest I was surprised it wasnt much lower. Although this doesn’t explain the persistent ED I am always facing. Additionally when having sex I tend to sweat quite heavily a few minutes in which makes me think I have an issue with my hypothalamus.
I have an appointment scheduled to discuss my results but I have to wait a month with the clinic.
Any advise on what these results mean and what are my options? I’ve highlighted progesterone and cortisol in bold as they were shown to be above high normal.
Total testosterone: 565ng/dl
Free T3: 4.92pmol/l
Free T4: 14.8pmol/l
FSH: 6.2 IU/L
LH: 5.3 IU/L
Oesdradiol: 129 pmol/L
Progesterone: 0.7 nmol/L
Cortisol: 560.0 nmol/L
Prolactin: 195 mU/L
SHBG: 48 nmol/L
Thanks
