Why don't more TRT/HRT doctors (endo's, pcp's, etc...) run a full thryoid panel when diagnosing a new patient?
I realize thyroid issues aren't as prevalent in men, but I would think it would help to get a more complete picture up front and further clarify the proper diagnosis/treatment for a new patient.

Prostate biopsy - A standard for investigating possible prostate cancer, but it can result in serious side effects. Has technology produced alternatives, or are any in development, that will replace the standard biopsy.

My dad has very high (over double the normal range high) DHT levels as a result of his Testosterone compounded transdermal cream. We are awaiting labs from a cut back in dose (his TT was high normal) but if it doesn't lower his DHT substantially, would it be a good idea to switch to injections?

What is current thinking for resuming TRT after treatment of prostate cancer with brachytherapy (seeds implant)? Data seems to be scarce and mostly addresses radical prostatectomy (complete removal), which may not necessarily translate to brachytherapy or IMRT (external radiation). I have seen anywhere from 1 year, to 2 years, to 5 years, to "never". Is there any developing consensus?
