Hashimotos Hypothyroid and TRT, Any One Else Suffering?

As another practical point, the incompetent and irresponsible doctor that had this patient on this ridiculous opiate and benzodiazepine regimen for over three years unnecessarily... Has not one single negative review online (or positive for that matter) or a negative anonymous internet post (I checked)...yet they are literally killing people with their treatment. I suspect their patients are too doped up on the drugs their doctor is pushing to them that they can't even function enough to post comments on the Internet. I would trust Jasen watching my kids, I wouldn't trust those doctors treating my dog...yet according to the anonymous internet one might conclude differently!

I just had a 45 minute consult this afternoon with one of our patients that Jasen Bruce recently identified and counseled on chronic opiate and benzodiazepine addiction. This was following and initial two hour consult that Jason himself spent with the patient going over his addiction details, symptoms, and complicating psychosocial factors. Jasen's note following this consult was over two pages long and the amount of detail allowed me to gain a firm grasp on the patient's situation in the shorter amount of time that we had to spend together. Jasen identified this patient, scheduled the no-cost consultation, and wrote an essay of a note, out of his own altruistic nature without any direction or order to do same...and this is by far not the first time, or I'm certain the last time, that he will do this. This is just a small reflection on his character as a person, but I believe much more relevant and noteworthy than anonymous Internet posts or unproven accusations that were determined to be false. Follow through with your due diligence as everyone should, but I can personally testify that Jasen Bruce is one of the nicest, sincerest, and altruistic men I have known in my life.

Good to know. I was just posting what I found on Google. I kinda like to research a bit when looking for important things. This will be a first for me, online/over the phone Dr. appointments so kinda intimidating.

Do have you treated others with Hashimotos & Low T? The more I look the more I get scared and depressed. Everything I find I see it as a game of life ping pong and it's so frustrating.

James, if I can just chime in on the Jasen topic, and then I'll leave it that. First let me say, I get paid NOTHING from Defy, or anyone else here, so my comments are 100% objective and neutral.

I switched over to Defy, last summer. I had been with my previous physician/clinic for almost five (5) years prior to switching, and for the most part fairly content. When I started hearing more about Defy, I took almost a year before making the switch.

The convincing factor was actually Jasen. Not once did he ever try to hard sell me over there, but whenever I would inquire about their therapies, programs, or just had any questions in general, Jasen would always have ample information. And with "Ample", just when I thought I had what I needed, there he was a day later sending me an email with additional information. If it wasn't him it was Chelsea!

Honestly, after a year or so of them just being consistently nice and informative, I honestly felt that they "earned" my business! Yeah, we seem to get quite a few folks on here that say great things about Defy, but that was also a determining factor. I can tell you with 110% absolute assurance that WE, the STAFF here don't manipulate any posts, good or bad, directed at Defy. If 96 out of 100 people here say Defy is "great", that's because that's how they feel, not because we painted it that way. And if the other 4 or 5 (or whatever it is) post their bad experience at Defy, or anywhere else, it stays on the board, and the member's comments are still respected and regarded.

Yes, I have more than a few Hashimoto's/TRT patients. Many of whom for which I discovered the Hashimoto's through comprehensive thyroid testing.

If you find comfort in the visual interaction with your provider, you may find it more comforting to work with a knowledgeable local provider (finding one would likely be the challenge).

I might ask my local doc about my concerns. My family practice doc actually prescribes TRT which potentially could be a big money saver but I decided to go with Defy. I was excited that Test-Cyp is on our Formulary (meaning it's covered) but I am not sure they cover Test if you have a 999 free Test like I do. His recommendation was exactly the same as Dr. Crisler but I was worried about other stuff so Defy it is.

However my TSH from my research points to a possible hypothyroidism. Maybe asking him if he is really up to spee on Thyroid is a little easier. Right now I am hoping to clear up any signs of Adrenal Fatigue before I start figuring out why TSH is so high. An it seems like my very high estradiol might have something to do with all of this.
