Estradiol just came in sub-range; previous bottom-Range TT/FT. Interpretation?

Hi guys

After some initial bloodwork that showed bottom-range T levels I've asked my doc to check estradiol.

I just got the results back, my estradiol ("normal" test, we don't seem to have the sensitive array here in Switzerland) is 31 pmol/l, of a range of 41.4 - 159 pmol/l, so I'm clearly sub-range.

Last bloodwork showed low T (free/total/bioavailble) and high-range SHBG. How would you interpret this? I'm meeting my endo next monday and would like to be prepared for the discussion.

Oh, symptoms - mainly really bad lack of energy, irritability, problems to focus. No thyroid, adrenal, glucose or other issues. Not taking any medication atm.

Thanks a ton guys.

by the way, this is a follow-up to my long post here: https://www.excelmale.com/forum/thr...o-zero-low-test-low-cortisol-what-next.15896/ but as that one contains a lot of other info I've just posted the info related to my question in here).

Assuming you're able to get treatment, your estradiol will rise as your T rises.
And with high SHBG, you may need a little more T than most to overcome that (and drop it some) so that your freeT increases.
Any idea and/or expectations as to what type of protocol you will be prescribed?

well, i‘m In Switzerland where Trt is not really common. According to my GP and my endo, TRT is something like witchcraft, invented by greedy big Pharma companies, and you buy your „lifestyle benefits“ with cancer and havoc in your hormonal system. As I have a beard, Kids and am no sex change candidate, Why TRT....

Wish me luck ;-D

best I expect is treatment, at all... I guess I’ll have to do fine tuning with the help of the forum....
