Dosage recommendations when switching esters.

I would suggest a starting dose of 20 mg ED, which should land pretty close to the testosterone content of 160 mg weekly Cypionate. I would also suggest you work up to that dose gradually over a couple weeks, unless you don't mind going very high with your levels in the beginning. Maybe start at 4 mg on the first day, and add 1 mg every day until you reach 20 mg.

You can't necessarily assume that you will be dialed in on the same dose of testosterone with prop as you were with cypionate. The high peak of prop might cause you to need less, and less E2 symptoms and lower overnight levels might allow you to tolerate more. It is still sensible to start in roughly the ballpark of what you're accustomed to, which 20 mg will achieve.

In my estimation, if you preserve daily peak testosterone then the transition should be relatively smooth. Using my own measurements I can give you a rough estimate of how much to lower the dose. Daily cypionate is assumed to give pretty flat serum testosterone. For me, at least, daily propionate yields a variation such that the trough is roughly a third of the peak. Going by this you can reduce the testosterone dose by a third. You're currently using 16 mg of testosterone per day, 2-3 times healthy natural production. To continue with this amount of testosterone you would use about 19 mg of testosterone propionate per day, or 20 mg as @FunkOdyssey suggests. However, to preserve your daily peak you need only take around 12-14 mg/day. This latter is what I would take in your shoes.

Furthermore, I would stop the cypionate and slowly ramp up the propionate to avoid greatly increasing peak testosterone in the early days of the transition.
