Doc wants me to start AI, says my free T and estrodial is high

This is another lab I had done by a third source with no AI and same testosterone dose a few months before my original post in this thread. I was only on my regiment for a month when these labs were taken, and I'm still doing the same regiment today except for the addition of the AI. You can see that my calculated free T is high and my PCP was freaking out about it.

TESTOSTERONE, TOTAL 766 ng/dL 129 - 767 ng/dL
SEX HORMONE BINDING GLOB 23 nmol/L 10 - 57 nmol/L
TESTOSTERONE, FREE CALCULATED 208 pg/mL 20 - 135 pg/mL H

First get the right labs and try to stay with the same lab for better management.
Second. Your e2 is barely high if at all if you treat it, most likely will bring your e2 down too low within 2 weeks having symtoms and pulling labs again to rectify.
At your level I wouldn't take anything more than .125 of an ai if at all.

All good advice. To the extent it's possible, stay with the same lab, and test at the same time (on the same day of the week), each and every time. Anastrozole is a potent drug, a very little can carry you a very long way.

Actually guys I've been through the AI protocol before when I was on transdermals. My E2 was 25, and if I remember correctly my Dr thought it was best to start AI before upping my testosterone to 200mg and wait and see how I responded to the HCG. I Never did up the transdermals and switched to injections. You can see that my E2 dropped to 9.9 from 25.0


DHEA/TEST 100/100 daily
HCG 150IU daily
ANAS/DIINDOLYMETHANE 0.25/200MG one every three days

They're good as far as I'm concerned, high free T goes along with your SHBG @ 23. High Free T is good in my book, I see no problem.

I agree, I like your numbers.

So would you rather have higher SHBG or Free T. I believe that's why the Dr prescribed the AI to lower my Free T, E2 and raise my SHGB.

Ai has nothing to do with free test to my knowledge. In fact, lowering e2 will probably lower shbg.

Guys, I'm thinking that maybe the AI is working? To rehash what I posted earlier I had general physical labs taken by my PCP and I asked if he could throw in T, freeT, and E2 labs as well. This was drawn on Tuesday morning 24hr after my Monday injection. T was 886. Keep in mind two different labs, but the results have been similar in the past.


So I got my LabCorp labs back yesterday and looks like my total T increased to 928 up 42 points from my PCP labs. I drew these on my normal lab day Monday morning before injection. One would of thought the T would have been higher the day after injection but it was actually 42 points higher the morning before injection.

I guess the bigger news is comparing previous LabCorp results from when I posted this thread my T went up 172, free T went up, and E2 dropped a few points.

Why did you draw after 24 hours? It's not directly comparable to trough.

The last two sets of numbers are trough and both done by LabCorp.

The other numbers are not and I don't use them to manage HRT, but I found it interesting that trough was was 42 higher. The only reason posted them.

I don't know why, but your numbers do look really good. Especially the estradiol, 3 1/2%

Thanks Vince, they looked pretty good before so I'm still wondering whether I need the AI or not. From what I've heard the AI doesn't effect T numbers. Guess I'll just wait for my follow up and see if the Doc can explain it.
