I posted something a while back concerning this right after starting TRT. After the second shot I started getting some inflammation in the prostate/bladder area. I was going every week to get a shot. I asked the guy at the clinic to reduce the dose. That seemed to help for the next two shots, but then the inflammation come back last week.
I called the clinic here in DFW that does my TRT and he is no help, I really have no trust in this clinic especially when I called and he told me I should go to Urgent care or my Primary care doctor to have it checked. He said they can't do much there about stuff like that.
I did go to Urgent care last Thursday and they did a Urine test, CBC, PSA and all came back normal and no infection, so I don't know what is causing this to happen. My Total Testosterone was 945 and my Estridol was kind of high too, but he didn't say anything about how to fix it. Anyways the Urgent care doctor went ahead and treated me like I had an infection just in case it was deep in the prostate, he said there is some gray area when it may not show anything on a Urine test
I don't think that I should be going in every week for a shot, I questioned about going every 10 to 14 days and he said well that may be a good idea. I wish I could get this doctor or assistant to guide me on what to do versus having to ask for things. This guy I see isn't even the doctor.
So I think I'm going to stop going to this clinic, I feel like they just want my money every week. I do feel lot better when I am taking the shots mentally and physically, I hate to stop taking them all together.
This last time it was quite painful and honestly it felt like I was having a constant orgasm due to the pressure. I felt like I needed to masterbate in order to relieve the pressure, but I knew it would be sore to do it. I know its TMI, but just being honest.
Am I the only one that has this issue here? Anybody have an answer or comment? I guess it must be BPH or something and the shots just irritate it. I never had this issue before TRT therapy. I'm going to make an appointment with a Urologist next week if possible. I skipped the shot I was supposed to get this past Friday and am not sure I will go back to this clinic for further treatment.
