Cialis can lower estrogen, increase hepcidin and hinder iron absorption.

I noticed shortly after starting daily Cialis, within a week, my iron supplement requirements increased, and have been increasing exponentially (out of control now) ever since I started taking Cialis 6 months ago.

Since stopping Cialis it appears I'm having to back down my iron dosage back to where it was prior to taking Cialis.

This could be a reason why Cialis would seem to stop working for some men.

Well two days after stopping 5 mg Cialis, my emotions are back, gone is the emotionally flatness. I think it's safe to say over the 6-8 months on 5 mg daily Cialis has crushed my estrogen.

I have been peeing a lot, clicking, popping knees, and ED which is now reversing.

I may restart at 2.5 or even 1 mg.

did you do any before and after labs to confirm your suspicions?

I don't see any need to tested estrogen. It's obvious that long term Cialis use has lowered my estrogen and affected my iron absorption. I noticed at first things were fine, but over time I started having issues.

Stopping Cialis has reversed many of the symptoms I was having.

I do believe the effects on iron homeostasis was my bigger issue versus the low estrogen. I didn't feel as if the estrogen was super low but low enough to blunt my emotions, libido and erectile function.

that might be of value for men with high e2? i like this drug if not the nasal congestion that comes with it. add a cannabis edible to the mix at night, and breathing is hard having to use various decongestants....

So tadafil could potentially help raise ferritin?
That's what happened in my case, I increased the iron intake, also the iron is stored in the tissue surrounding the fat tissue and not available for the body to utilize.

My gums swelled up, blisters in the gum tissue, pain in teeth, joints, muscles, hot flashes burning, sensations all over my body.

Nevermind, I found out my real problem. I'm vitamin D deficient, serum level 17, down from 28!

That's why I require more iron.

I wonder if the vitamin D deficiency has anything to do with my strange response to Cialis. Maybe vitamin D is needed for Cialis to do its thing.

I like to see my patients with 25-OH levels between 60 and 90 for optimal health.
I am a hyper responder to a lot of stuff. I can’t handle a vitamin D level 30> which causes extreme nausea, bone pain, pain in penis, problems breathing and dehydration.

I start getting significant hearing loss at 35, I have to blast my car stereo to 100% just to hear it.

I just started taking 600 IU gel capsules yesterday after seeing the labs.

I took a 5 mg Cialis dose today and didn’t have a bad reaction like I did days ago.

The vitamin D drops I got off Amazon 2 weeks ago is a fake product.

I ran 50k IU for months. blood levels 200ng/dl. felt great. now back to 10k. also feeling great. it really seems that the sweet spot for many is 60-100ng/dl which typically is a 5-10k IU dose
