Hi,
Very new to all this, sort of introduction post too. Hi everybody. I know it's long.
Considering trt, pretty nervous about it all.
Just looking for a sanity check, feedback and any advice. Really appreciate all the info on this site already.
History / Stats
37
190 lbs
5'11''
BP 120/78, also brought a home tester no it's not the best close to same at Drs.
2 kids, vasectomy 2 years ago
post this here too, cause it's come up at every DR discussion, no steroid abuse in the past
Post additional bloods from 5 years ago, they lack hormone test, show Thyroid and Vitamin D)
Started out thinking this was low thyroid or vitamin d, had family members over time that this occurred to. I don't know how to describe it back then just felt off.
Moved on to getting testosterone checked the following year through work. This was total t, I didn't know at the time to ask for additional test.
4 years 270 (through work) believe this was labcorp can't find anymore took to Primary Care.
** was in a car accident, primary care said to put this on hold, broken L4/L5
early 2019 -- 320 -- 7:30 am *above 300 Primary care can't treat, will test again, worked on diet and rest
late 2019 -- 360 -- 7:30 am *zma was added month or two before, Primary care "your low normal"
2020 -- 245 -- 9:30 am * was lapcorp, contacted a clinic, really think I score lower at lapcorp if that's possible
General feeling: Well run down, over-exerted (aren't we all), brain fog, some libodo / weak erections, no morning wood (zma seems to help this), trouble concentrating. Anxiety crops up if there are any major changes from routine (like getting ready to start trt). Not depressed, discussions with wife she says I can get "down" for a couple days at a time, both agree it's not depression.
That being said at this point, as I told the nurse it's hard to tell as some of this just feels like it me now. Also, feel like a have just found ways to cope. Low t symptoms just feel hard to pin down.
Still work out 5 days a week and eat good. I get ~stronger, body composition wise never have made or make much headway.
Already take / supplements
Treatment Plan (shots are Monday morning, Thursday afternoon, ai will be taken if needed)
* have not started yet
Was offered clomid, did some reading, clomid only cycles looked horrible to me, at least people that posted experiences about them along with the potential sides. I do get if fertility is a concern.
Some concern
CV health, I know there is conflicting studies, from this site this low isn't good for that either (thanks Nelson for all the post and info you bringl) Things to watch for to be safe, worth donating blood, or getting additional labs before 5/11/2020.
Is it good to run HGC for years long if you are not worried about fertility? Seem some that like to cycle it (coming from other sites so thought I get opinions here), seem some that drop it, cause to much E. Also seems to be part of everybody's treatment at some point for the other benefits.
Trying to avoid AI.
Thoughts on the plan? Is treatment something you would pursue? Things to ask about? Things to watch out for (learned high low e symptoms)?
Any advice is always appreciated. Thanks.
