I made a 200mg cypionate injection yesterday, aspirated, drew no blood and injected. When I pulled the syringe out a bunch of blood came out..fortunately I had a bunch of clean papwertowels nearby. I've only been on TRT for a couple months now (levels now at normal ), and this was a first for me. I contacted a friend of mine that actually recommended TRT to me in the first place, he told me I "nicked" or went through a vein. I talked to another friend who also has had this happen once or twice over the last decade+.

My question is, how often has this happened to any of you, if at all? I'm hoping this doesn't happen again anytime soon, if ever again.

I never inject in legs. Is that where you injected?

It happens and depending upon where you inject frequency will be variable.

I've injected the glutes for years and never once hit a vein or bleed more than a drop.

Just chalk it up to an experience as there's nothing you can do to avoid it from happening from time to time.

Yes, was the glutes, and for a newbie like me was a bit "scary," I was anticipating a coughing attack..but like I said, I did aspirate and didn't draw any blood. I will do my best not to inject at that site again, but I do like injecting into the legs. I may start to consider other injection sites, especially if this happens to me again.

I only inject every 2 weeks, but I have not been alternating sites, which I didn't deem necessary since I do inject every 2 weeks. I may in the future decide to break it down to a couple injections a week but haven't been experiencing any "roller coaster" effect going every 2 weeks. For a newbie like me, psychologically, I was anticipating having a coughing attack but like I said, I did aspirate before the injection. *knocking on wood* this doesn't happen to me again...at least not any time soon.
