Blood Test Log

I'm new to the forums. I was recently told by a local and very expensive clinic that I qualify for TRT; so I'm trying to learn as much about it as I can. I've been very good at introductions, if you have any questions ask away.

Blood test log:

Current age 32.
I accidentally deleted the email with my latest bloodwork but remembered the testosterone level.

I was just reviewing my December 2016 bloodwork and noticed my estrogen is very high. I'm starting to question my old doctors knowledge on hormones.

OCTOBER 2017:
TESTOSTERONE 393.0 ng/dL

DECEMBER 2016:

TESTOSTERONE 455.0 ng/dL
MALE 20-49 YRS 132-813 ng/dl

TOTAL ESTROGENS 135.6 pg/mL
MALES: 10-125

PROLACTIN 13.24 ng/mL
MALES.............. 1.6 - 23.1

NOVEMBER 2014:
TESTOSTERONE 646 ng/dL
MALE 20-49 YRS 132-813 ng/dl

One piece of advice - expensive clinics are not necessarily clinics that are interested in, or even know how, to manage the hypogonadal patient. So many of us here at EM struggled in the initial stages of therapy with poor doctors. Good care can be found...just be wary.

We're glad you're here.

I accidentally deleted my latest, very detailed labs. I'm going again next week to get more though.

Unfortunately medication wise, I have PTSD and the VA used me as a lab rat for awhile.

Currently I take Inderol everyday. And twice a week I'm allowed to take .5 klonopin and ambien two different nights.

I've been completely off SSRIs for almost two years now. However, all of my low testosterone symptoms happened when they had me start taking Paxil.

Welcome to ExcelMale. Because of your young age, do everything possible to raise your testosterone naturally and avoid TRT.
I don't want to be on TRT. I think I have an estrogen issue. I'd love to not be on a medication that I wouldn't be able to find in a zombie apocalypse hahaha.

I've decided against using the expensive clinic. The only reason I had them run tests is because the VA isn't taking my symptoms seriously. I have other insurance and found an Internal Medicine doctor that's well reviewed.

Welcome! Would be helpful if you post your blood test results/overall symptoms you have been experiencing?

I've had a steadily declining libido since I was 25. It's almost non-existant now. I have very bad erectile dysfunction 20mg cialis barely helps. 100mg viagra is more effective. Just these symptoms alone depress me. I'll add more to this later when I'm at the computer.

I accidentally deleted my most recent lab results that had e2 lh and a few others, my estrogens were all high.

Be be aware that Total Estrogen is an absolute waste of money; it provides no information that a doctor can act on. You need to measure estradiol with The sensitive, sometimes called ultra sensitive, lab test (LC, MS/MS). It's the only estradiol test that can peg men's levels accurately. Were your testosterone draws done in the morning - all of those you presented?

It’s been about 6 months, you were so right man, I should have listened. There was one NP at my clinic that knew a little about TRT, even then his knowledge was decades old... now a doctor who knows nothing is in charge and trying to change my protocol.

I’ve been on 240 mg a week .5 hcg 1mg Adex for the past couple months which puts me at 908ng on day 7. New doctor wants to reduce me to 200mg .5 adex .5cc hcg. Neither doctor understands injecting twice a week.
