Blood Sugar Drop Causing Sleep Problems?

Blood sugar drop is interesting. I also fall asleep easy, but wake up 2 am or 3 am. Wide awake. I try to keep track of my sleeping habits and energy on a spread sheet. I have noticed that a couple of times that I have slacked off on my diet or had a cheat meal high in sugar (later at night) that I have slept better through the night. May be coincidence?
