I have been on benzodiazepines for years , I was asking myself if someone here take this class of médecine with arimidex.i thought I might be an arimimidex over responder since I freel awful every time I take it even at a slow dosage of 0.003 mg.i foud out that both drugs are métabolises by the cytochrome P450 and the arimidex might inhibit the action of the benzodiazepines (from my understanding)

I wish I never got started taking benzodiazepines. I started taking Valium during a very stressful period of my life 4 years ago, just to get to sleep. Now I absolutely cannot get to sleep at all without the Valium. And Valium makes my sleep apnea even worse, so I get little good rest even taking the Valium.

I've tried Trazodone and other drugs, but still can't get to sleep at all without some amount of Valium. I know the only good answer is to slowly taper off the Valium over a long period of time, but it's hard, especially when I have a 9-month-old baby to take care of, and other responsibilities. I need a good night's sleep, and right now Valium is the only way to get anything approaching that. :-(

One of the symptoms of low estrogen levels is often anxiety. You are probably crashing your estradiol or driving it much too low with the Arimidex. Why are you taking Arimidex? Most men don't need it at all on a correct TRT dosage of testosterone, although I know there are some men who respond better to a microdose of an AI. But most men won't need it if you are using a true TRT dose of test.

Personally, I have tried several different AI's (Arimidex, Letrozole, Aromasin), and I always feel worse after taking the AI, even if I take a very small dose. So I don't respond well to AI's either.

Hang in there brother. I was on Klonopin to help nighttime anxiety and sleep issues for about 3-4 years, but I successfully came off last year and now melatonin alone does the trick for me. Go slow and steady, I wish you the best, you can do it.

Thanks, I appreciate the support and it is good to know that other people have been through this and successfully come out of the other side. I hope you are doing well these days.

I might be that all the ai interfere with the métabolisme of the benzodiazepines .that is what I trebly believe now .since I checked my e2 after taking micro doses of anastrazole .e2 level did not change but anxiety went thriugh the Roof exactly like if I had not taken my benzo medication . I contacted a specialist from the hospital where I live and he thinks that I might be right .for example arimidex inhibits the métabolisme of the cytochrome p 450 enzyme .the tranxilium is métabolised by this enzime so it might be possible that the mastication cannot car properly due to this fact

It's different for everyone, but I won't lie. Withdrawal was brutal for me but now I am soooooooooo much better. At some point, you may just need to accept it and understand there is light at the end of the tunnel. But, it can be a long tunnel.

Thanks, I appreciate you offering your experience. I've been on Valium for over 4 years now, and trying to get off it is terrible, especially as I am taking care of my baby daughter, and sleep is at a premium now as it is. But I do realize that many of my problems could be because of the Valium use, and it is certainly aggravating my sleep apnea. So in the long run, I know I need to find a way to get off the benzos.

benzobuddies website is both helpful and hurtful. It showed that I wasn't imagining things - others have gone thru it. But, it can suck you into the horror stories. Go there in small doses.

Follow Heather Ashton's taper protocol to try to lessen withdrawal side effects.... benzo.org.uk : The Ashton Manual, Professor C Heather Ashton DM, FRCP

Thanks, I am familiar with the Ashton Manual (largely through the good advice provided on this website) and I am trying to incorporate it's ideas as I try to taper down off the Valium. But it is difficult. Some of the other serotonin-based drugs I have tried to help with anxiety and sleep, like Buspirone and Trazodone, make me feel terrible and have unacceptable gastric side effects (they make me feel like I have to poop all day), so I haven't found anything else to help me with anxiety or sleep yet.

*** can help for some. It isn't easy, and there isn't anything that will really alleviate it other then time.

I am considering trying *** or cannabis now that it's legalized in my state. I've actually never smoked marijuana or tried any cannabis products before, so I have no idea how it will effect me. I hear good things from some people and bad things from others, like any other drug.

Only way to find out for sure is to try it, I guess.
