LOT of information on the benefits of beet root.

I looked at a number of products out there and there was beet root powder and beet root juice powder.
Started with a 2 pack of beet root powder to get going:

Found some bulk beet root juice powder at a reasonable cost and figured it should be a lot stronger than ground up beet root so I ordered 2 LBS:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01B0REXZY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I already had a small capsule machine that caps 24 "00" caps at a time and I had some "00" caps from left from some other supps I had capped:

https://www.capsuleconnection.com/capsule-machine
http://capsuleconnection.com/whole-clear-white-gelatin-capsules.html

So I am guessing that I have used about 600 "00" capsules now and still have around a 1/4 to 1/2 LB of beet root juice powder left to cap.
I am taking 3 in the AM and 3 in the PM. Started a few weeks ago so will see how well it works.

More to follow....

Why encapsulate? Just dissolve in juice or water. I used a product from whole foods. It was nitrogen packed. Freshness is important. You may loose much of the vasodialating properties in storage while getting high levels of iron and other metals built up in the liver. Whole fresh beets have fiber. It's phyto-nutrients and enzymes are likely more intact and wholesome.

Argenine and citrulline may be better and safer choice for NO production than beet powder.

i bought some made by activz, i think, based on stuff i read in the no2 thread, and have gotten to love the earthy taste. not sure what it's doing for me, tho, so i don't know if i'll continue. reading the examine report, i see that in terms of vo2, it doesn't seem to make a diff whether you take it continuously or as-needed before exercise, so why bother taking it every day at all?

"At least one study assessing an acute dosage versus 15 days of chronic dosing has failed to find a significant difference, with both time periods of 500mL beetroot juice (5.2mmol nitrate) reducing the oxygen cost of exercise and improving performance to similar degrees.[22] Two other studies have been conducted confirming the increase in energy efficiency (via reduction in oxygen requirement of exericse) although these two studies did not assess time to exhaustion.[5][14]In tests that measure time to exhaustion (rather than those measuring time to complete X distance), beetroot juice appears to be associated with an anti-fatigue effect and prolongation of exercise performance"

I am not to keen on the taste so capsules work for me. This product dose dissolve easy and dose mix with water or juice and there would not be any gritty stuff left over. I find it easier to just take 3 caps twice a day with my AM and PM meds and other supps.
I am also taking citrulline malate during the week prior to gym. There were 2 great vids on 2 threads here and it caught my attention. Also Examine has some great info that supported the points that were made in the vids.

I take around 6 grams along with another pre workout amino mix from Wal-Mart. Mixes well and has a sour taste but that is mitigated with the workout mix. I bought bulk at powder city.

I sent the Kavss link to the daughter... Interesting.
