Androgel Failed and rose PSA

i switch to injections, from androgel will this increase my psa like the androgel did? Im 67 and definitely need trt, but don’t want to jeopardize my prostrate. Please help.

Due to individual variation there's no fixed answer. In switching to injections you will likely produce less DHT, which could be helpful. But it's also easier to attain very high testosterone levels with injections, which could be counterproductive. Your best bet is to start injections with a low dose and only increase slowly as needed. A low dose is something like 14 mg of testosterone cypionate injected every other day. This is still delivering an average of 5 mg of testosterone per day, which is not much below the 6-7 mg that healthy young men can produce naturally. If you still have problems then there are alternatives, such as a testosterone nasal gel, e.g. Natesto, or injections of a cypionate/propionate blend, which also allows for a reduced dose of testosterone while still preventing hypogonadism. Using the latter method I have successfully used as little as 3.7 mg of testosterone daily without having any signs of low testosterone. In fact peak serum levels are still above average.

Your PSA levels can be affected by many different factors. While an elevated PSA level doesn’t necessarily indicate prostate cancer.
Not common but one could have prostate cancer and normal PSA.
Here the health insurance stopped paying for PSA tests because the test results proved unreliable for prostate cancer screening.

Usually injection affects your prostate less. That's one reason I never used androgel. I'll show you my protocol.

Same protocol, 16 mg of testosterone cypionate daily, 500 iu of hcg every third day and no AI.

Pregnenolone 10 mg and 10 mg of DHEA.

My last injection before labs, about 27 1/2 hrs.

Labs are from LabCorp.

I did "not" get the Equilibrium Ultrafiltration for testing free testosterone. I didn't want to spend the extra money.
