I think, there is a lot of empirical evidence, too. I mean, hundreds of bodybuilders and strenght athletes probably have taken antioxidants for decades, without detrimental effects on their mass/strength gains. So I would postulate that the impact can't be *that* strong, at least for most people. Nevertheless, I try to take any antioxidants as far away from a workout as possible (except for the ones I need post workout, like ALA), even though due to the long half life of some the substances, it probably doesn't matter much anyway when to take them.
