acne increase on T

Paul, so you're saying that high E2 causes acne? I've never heard that before. I wonder does estrogen contribute to acne.

For myself and others I have read it seems to. I can say that with no AI I defiantly have more acne but I have read higher estrogen possibly correlates to higher IGF-1.

Hormonal influences that raise insulin and insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1) levels are key. Elevated IGF-1 levels lead to changes in gene expression that cause inflammation, hormonal changes, increased oil production, and development of acne lesions

so high E2 = high IGF-1 = acne so lowering E2 lowers IGF-1 and helps reduce the acne maybe?

My acne problems were directly related to my E2. Having changed from TD DHEA/Preg, to an oral micronized and reverting back to .15mg Anastrozole E3.5D has resulted in my acne being almost entirely gone. I have bloods in a few days but my E2, before the change, was in the 50's. Too High!
