The test is the wrong test, it's that simple. It's for females, not males, and is thus, the wrong test. And those "Dr's", are using the wrong test, and it can't be extrapolated, accurately, for male use. It can't be made more clear.

The sensitive is the way to go I agree but as far as the female being the wrong test that is incorrect, I've ordered it twice and it says for male and females and even asks if you're male or female when ordering the test so unless that company is full of shit I think it's fine.

Estradiol is the last frontier in TRT. While it has been established conclusively that the standard estradiol test over-reports the value in men (among other things it picks up c-reactive protein and doesn't distinguish it from estradiol), none of the leading medical societies (endocrine, urological) have clearly defined guidelines on where the appropriate levels should fall. With no sense of urgency attached to the question, labs - and even more absurdly, far too many doctors - simply have paid no attention to the fact that the sensitive test is appropriate. Doctors don't know, labs don't care (they make money off of a test, appropriate or not, and only the patient suffers. But the money keeps rolling in...

First thanks for all the help! I took the advice here and i'm taking .25 arimidex e3.5d with my HCG injection and got the labs and physical exam done for Defy today and the said they are scheduling about 3 weeks out so hopefully in about a month a have a new protocol.

I have a script for 100/mg Test per week from a few months ago that I never filled from a urologist that I decided not to use since he didn't want to give me HCG so what I'm thinking is using this and starting 50/mg test e3.5d with 250iu hcg at the same time with no AI. This would only be for 3-4 weeks until defy tells me what to do. Thoughts?

I'll post labs as soon as I get them back from Labcorp.

I'm starting to get more acne-not bad yet but i'm worried it will get really bad.

Also I know everyone is different but does anyone know about how long it takes e2 to drop back down if I stop the high dose of HCG? Maybe I'll take a week off from everything before I start the new protocol.

Imwould not start ANYTHING until your Defy consultation has taken place. The labs you are submitting and the symptoms you have now reflect what Dr. Saya or Dr. Crisler are going to take into account when they meet with you. Starting a protocol invalidates everything you have sent them. It adds another piece to the puzzle. How will they know how to evaluate what is going on?

A bad idea.

I will take your advice and not start anything but just to clarify do you think I should stop hcg all together so my e2 will come down or continue the 6000iu/wk until I talk to defy? The high e2 sides have got me a little freaked out. Thanks

Okay so I'll stop the HCG today, I know everyone is different but does anyone know about how long for estrogen & test levels to return to normal? Do they usually drop together or does one take longer? Not sure if I should expect a couple weeks or a couple months.

Just an update... I got labs back from Defy today and the sensitive E2 test showed 137.3 and TT 1125, this was a week after the prior labs. I got my appointment with Dr Crisler scheduled for next Thursday.
