To answer OP’s original question- yes, I have been on TRT while on antidepressant medication and ADHD medication. It definitely takes a while to find what works. Generally speaking, I think extended release versions of each worked best for me.
Some general advice would be:
* Find a good...
O wow. Yeah I’m not that desperate. :D
It **did** happen on the two occasions I used Andactrim (for PE). Also happened when I was doing compounded T cream from Defy/Empower and applied it to the scrotum, but this was more inconsistent. In fact, it was the Defy doctor that told me to use it on...
I have read in this and other forums that taking clomid, gonadorelin, or kisspeptin while on TRT is a waste - that those things are used more for PCT, to regain testicular function. But why is it wasteful, or even contraindicated, to use those medications while on TRT? How does one harm the...
Say what you like, but I want higher DHT! Deeper voice, manly chest hair, higher libido, and fortunately I am not prone to male-pattern baldness.
What testosterone formulations help increase DHT? Is scrotal cream/gel/patch the only way?
What else can help increase DHT?
And perhaps more...
It doesn’t sound like you are testosterone deficient. Your levels are low normal… which may or may not be sufficient to justify TRT given your symptoms.
I wouldn’t worry about the GH reading because it fluctuates so much - IGF-1 is a better marker and even that needs yo be confirmed with a GH...
“That doesn’t say that eating fat causes diabetes.”
No exactly, but that’s not why I posted it. :)
There was a comment earlier that processed foods aren’t a source of saturated fats. I guess it depends on what you consider “processed@ but this site is a little more specific on that...
I started getting prominent veins after adding cialis to TRT…. So it probably does have something to do with NO production.
A couple of medical societies advise not to even start TRT with hematocrit above 50 (I think one says 52 and other 54). The risks are too high. Lookup testosterone...
I’m guessing you don’t have diabetes?? No, reversing it isn’t easy, but also not impossible. Lifestyle changes are hard when all you have ever known your whole life is unhealthy, ultra processed food. If reversing it is/was easy for you, then great! Good for you! But it’s not easy for everyone...
I have not heard of the squats thing before but I suspect it might help someone with pre-diabetes. If I do 20+ squats, my glucose drops a little more compared to walking. But the same is true of any strength training I do, sometimes causing hypoglycemia (I wear a CGM). But the drop is only...
I showed this TRT dosing guideline from the American Urological Association to my doctor. He’s going to look it over and clarify with his testopel rep, because it is clearly much higher starting dosing than the FDA packet insert says. He conceded he hasn’t used brand name testopel because...
No, you are NOT the only one who read the study.
This is what T2D remission means to them:
“Patients were defined as achieving remission using the consensus definition published by the American College of Lifestyle Medicine in 2021: HbA1c < 6.5% for at least 3 months with no surgery, devices...
Random question here… but has anyone tried Cialis AND Flomax together? Flomax is sometimes given for BPH or kidney stones on people who also happen to be on cialis for ED. I wonder if together they help ED even more since flomax can cause erections and some folks say it gives them a lower...
I think the issue with Natesto for me is that my baseline levels are too low to begin with - in the 150-200 TT range. So when TT comes down an hour after application, I’m essentially back to pre-TRT.
The HPTA axis doesn’t worry me as much at this point (except for trying to conserve testicular...
Gotcha. Yeah I was on subq test cyp, then decided to give Natesto a try a couple of months ago - replacing test cyp. I have been doing 2 sprays three times a day. A lot of my pre-TRT symptoms like hot flashes and low libido have returned since making the switch to Natesto.
Adding to which previous regimen? The t cyp subq injections? That already had my TT at 750-ish.
I don’t know how I could try this though I would need to separate prescriptions for two different types of testosterone, which would probably be seen as abusing prescription meds.
But yeah, I am...
Hmmm… that’s a very interesting idea! Although for me 100mg T is not exactly a low dose, so I would have to figure out how much I would need for a stable baseline without causing Natesto to then drive me too high.
I will run it by my urologist!
Definitely ask your doctor….
My first guess would have been high E or high prolactin but you have neither. When did you do your labs in relation to your last dose? Maybe your lab values have to do with timing?
Never mind - yes Hikma’s test E does contain sesame oil. Answered my own question!

By the way, notice that the...
Quick update. I had another TT lab and this time I was up to 520. Still not as good as t cyp (750-ish) but at least I am up to therapeutic levels with Natesto. Hot flashes have decreased (but not gone away). Maybe there’s hope yet? Only thing I didn’t have LH/FSH retested. I hoping to see if...
