I generally agree, although my concern is that at current dosage my total and free testosterone levels are in a good spot. Concerned about them falling too much, even with the drop in E2.
These are my numbers on 140 mg of cypionate per week, split into daily injections of 20 mg. No HCG, no AI.
Current numbers (test taken before my daily morning shot so my trough, not that it's going to make much of a difference with daily shots):
Total T: 615 ng/dL
Free T (direct): 19.1 pg/mL...
That was an option, but I just had them call in a script for Pregnyl to my local Publix pharmacy. I don't remember the cost exactly, but it was about $30 for them to do so. The cost for the Pregnyl was about $100 with GoodRx.
Let's keep in mind that Coleman was also blasting steroids. I'm not disputing the theory and effects of high versus low reps, high versus low weights, etc., but someone with "normal" testosterone levels would be incredibly overtrained if they tried to mimic the workouts of someone who is...
Thanks. I guess my primary consideration right now is whether I drop the HCG altogether and just go with daily low doses of cypionate for a few months to see how I feel and how my numbers turn out. My only issue is that there seems to be an emphasis on using it for the benefits it can give...
Tough to say. I started doing TRT along with HCG, so I don’t know what it would be like without it. I do have some results that would seem to be consistent with HCG, but can’t say for sure. I have tried to limit that dosage down to a minimum to prevent Estradiol spiking as much as possible...
I am. I had tried every third day during my first go-round with TRT a few years ago and the swings were a bit much. Much better with daily, although I'd like to try and alternate my cypionate and HCG shots every other day (rather than two shots daily, only one), if just to cut down on the...
True. I don't have my Estradiol number yet (LabCorp taking forever), but my SHBG came in at 15.4 nmol/L and my total T at 530 ng/dL. Free T with the direct method test came in at 16.4 pg/mL and the Vermeulen calculated number puts that at 15.9 ng/dL. Seems like that number is in a good place...
Interesting. I’m at 140 mg per week of cypionate and 700 ius of Pregnyl per week (injecting every day) and my peak (12 hours after injection) total T level after 6 weeks was 530 ng/dl. The chart would suggest I’d be much higher, just with the cypionate alone.
I don't have all of the results from my 6-week labs back yet, but I did get my Prolactin back. It shot up from a 7 ng/mL before starting TRT to 18.8 ng/mL. I definitely noticed side effects from that as it has taken much longer for me to reach orgasm. I didn't have sex for 48 hours prior to...
I'm injecting cypionate and HCG every night around 9 p.m. If I get a blood test the next morning (about 12 hours later), and I measuring close to my peak level? Does it really matter what time of day I get the blood test as the variation between peak and trough should be minimized with...
There is a study that Madman posted which shows that one click should give you good levels for 24 hours. Defy also recommended once per day application in the morning if I wanted to use it. I don’t think the twice per day would be necessary in most cases.
Your total, free and DHT are sky high. And that's a good amount of time after your last application. What were your numbers on cypionate? I'd definitely cut back on the cream applications. Maybe try 1 click in the a.m. and p.m. and see where that gets you. Aim for high normal. Your...
I use Defy. They will send a prescription to any standard pharmacy for $30. Not sure about Amazon pharmacy. I think they also have a relationship with another online pharmacy that you can use.
I have the same experience with the cream on my scrotum. Even one click puts me out of the range of the labs on total and free testosterone (total above 1,500, free above 50, DHT above 110). I’ve dropped it and going only with injections and feel much better. If I didn’t apply to my scrotum...
You seem to miss the point of trying the nasal gel, but I'm not shocked. It would be a temporary measure to see if your son was helped by a boost in testosterone without shutting him down. If it works, great. He can then look at long-term treatments, like injections, as he knows that TRT is...
Maybe. It would have been good to approach it methodically and with proper blood tests to assess. It would have been nice to know what his Free T levels were.
Do you know the cost of proper blood tests and a consultation with Defy? Do you know the cost of the Empower version of Natesto? I would hope if he is committing to TRT and to see its benefits that he gives it more than just a few weeks. Someone here posted a recent study which shows that to...
The difference is that HGH is intended to have the same effect whether administered nasally or via injections. It’s only a difference in administration, so one would opt for the easiest route of administration. Natesto and injections is not just a matter of different administration, but also...
But what's the duration of these side effects? I experienced a few of these, but only for about a week or two. More a slight annoyance/inconvenience. Definitely wasn't a deal-breaker for me.
I think it would be better to present a balanced argument with studies that both support and run against the use of antidepressants. Your title makes it clear that you’re only looking to present one side of the story and have already come to a conclusion, and some of these “studies” seem to do...
No, I switched to every day shortly after this posting. Actually, the more I think about it, those numbers were about 12 hours after injections (but without my morning cream) as I inject at night. So they may have been at the peak since I understand the injections peak after about 12 hours.
I gave the nasal gel about 3-4 weeks. Definitely felt improvement in symptoms and better for the few hours after using it. Long-term compliance was going to be the issue, but it certainly let me know that my issue was low T levels and how I could feel with higher levels.
Cream on the scrotum...
Haven't re-tested yet. Probably 2-3 weeks away. I was trying to gauge what the issue could be based on symptoms. With that said, I was also using a click of the cream along with the injections, which based on past experience did shoot me up to supraphysiological levels. I cut out the cream...
Using 140 mg of cypionate per week and 1,050ius of HCG per week when I was last on TRT two years ago, my total testosterone at trough was 695 ng/dl, free testosterone of 20 pg/ml, and Estradiol of 49.9 pg/ml. DHT at 48 ng/dl. Prolactin at 12.3 ng/ml. I'm probably another 2-3 weeks out from...
