Progesterone, seemingly can be anti-androgenic, and competes for the 5ar with dht, but still am interested in your use of it if you choose to continue with it.
Are you still off trt? Would be interesting to see how progesterone affects your blood levels of other hormones, assuming that you continue with the prog.
still would like to have a more clear consensus on what a man’s natural progesterone levels are. According to lc/ms Testing an even my own not Hypogonadal brothers blood work it’s very low. Progesterone may be a more potent anti-androgen than is realized. But this is all just my opinion.
You’re not the first person I’ve heard say their erectile quality was the best on a nandrolone based protocol, i wonder what the mechanism behind it is.
Tired to pm you the lab report, can’t seem to right now so I’ll just write the results here. It’s not an extensive lab report unfortunately. Keep in mind I’m in Canada so I converted the progesterone range to the American one but on this list it’s in nmol/L. Here’s a link to the dynacare that I...
Sorta related to the thread, I had my 30 year old brother who’s not on trt get a blood test which included progesterone. Will be interesting to see his levels with a normal functioning HTPA
Hey man yea we can talk in pm, I’ve been very m.i.a from the form for awhile. I’ll just say that in my experience progesterone has been the most feminizing thing I’ve ever used, and as you know I’ve directly use e2. If you are going to trial using supplemental e2 I’d avoid progesterone completely.
I’m interested in progesterone but I’m still on the fence about what normal levels in healthy men are. I’ve seen the ranges of 0.0 - 1.2 ng/ml as normal, presumably using the Roche immunoassay as the test method. But then I’ve seen ranges as low as 0.0 - 0.3 ng/ml using lc/ms.
It is also my understanding that the standard RIA test for progesterone has a lot of cross reactivity from other hormones. This gives the test falsely elevated results. I’ve been looking for studies to find progesterone ranges in men measured by LC/MS. This study
Reference intervals of nine...
My e2 was 58 pg/ml and my total T was 859 nd/ml, this was on 1mg of oral e2 valerate per day, I have lowered my dose to .5mg EoD. Test dose has stayed the same.
I will say my decision to try estradiol valerate came after years of trying various trt protocols. I would try each different protocol for months to let everything stabilize. Which would let me get more accurate blood work and a better sense of how each protocol made me feel. I wanted to...
Testosterone cypionate at 100mg a week split into two doses. My first experiment with oral e2 was 1mg daily for 2 months. Had stopped for about 4 months to see if any of my symptoms would return, which they did. I’m now taking .5mg daily and possibly trying a EoD dosing schedule as I’m looking...
Your story is identical to mine. I used aromasin over an extended period of time and certain symptoms never seemed to recover/improve. I tried x, y, and z to fix the low e2 symptoms until I said what do I have to lose and directly supplement e2. The increase in muscle fullness and improvement in...
I think if you keep progesterone in the normal physiological range you would be ok. I’m just trying to find what the accurate physiological range is in young non trt using men with the test being done by lc-ms/ms. I actually think I found a study that tested just this.
Reference intervals of...
From my understanding the standard immunoassay test cross reacts with the many similar metabolites to progesterone especially with oral administration. Pharmacokinetics of progesterone - Wikipedia good article on the subject. There where positives namely amazing sleep and a calming effect on my...
My decision to try these experiments is ultimately to see how these hormones effect me and for what it’s worth provide anecdotal information to this forum. To add I’ve used progesterone in 50mg oral capsules, which I was prescribed by my first trt clinic roughly 5 years ago. They Where used for...
I found my libido to be great while on this protocol. Libido that sometimes would affect my ability to work. I see I forgot to mention I been taking 50mg oral pregnenolone at night for the past year. Since that progesterone test was the standard one I understand that the accuracy of it is...
recently got blood work done. Blood was taken morning before my next injection as well as my 1mg estradiol valerate. This is on 120mg a week test cyp dosed 30mg EoD. Accuracy of these tests are questionable as I’m outside the U.S
total T = 29.9 nmol/l or 859 ng/dl
Free T = 731 pmol/l or 210...
