My experience with more frequent injection protocols seems to be the opposite of what I often read here.
From a fair amount of trial and error with different protocols, here is the effect that different protocols had on my SHBG, in order from most impact on SHBG to least:
Pre-TRT: low-mid 30s...
I'm struggling with how to articulate my question, but here goes:
My DHT levels are relatively low, even with higher levels of TT/FT. Having used scrotal cream and boosted DHT levels in the past, I do feel like I benefit from it.
If I supplement my protocol with scrotal cream to increase DHT...
I recently had lab work and got the ECLIA E2 test. I know my results for both tests are "high", however I'm curious as to how any comparison might be made to previous tests that used LC/MS/MS.
Previous E2 labs using LC/MS/MS:
47.2 pg/ml (8.0-35.0)
Current E2 labs using ECLIA:
69.2 pg/ml...
Several reports seem to indicate that high BP + Covid19 is a very bad combo.
So in regards to TRT: Stop? No. But if you're one of those guys that runs your dosage such that TRT causes BP to go up, that may/may not be worth addressing.
CROM,
I think this is a good discussion and I doubt you're the only one that has had this thought.
I have no medical training and don't understand some of these mechanisms. However, I have read that some researchers believe that blood pressure, ACE/ACEII can have an effect on the severity of...
I'd be interested in hearing about this. Although I read on another forum (which is more bodybuilding oriented) that lots of guys say it doesn't "heal" anything and that the relief you get only lasts as long as you're using it.
When I tried 100mg/day (1x morning application) that was my experience - I would crash in the evening. For me, I didn't see it as a good thing but could be for some people.
I've tried a few cream protocols. I feel better now on E3.5D (120mg/week) injections than I did on 1x/day cream protocol...
Thanks for that info. Great way of looking at it.
I have labs from both cream protocols and injection protocols buried somewhere, but I guess my statement about the doses not being apples to apples is more of how I feel subjectively.
However, I do remember that 3 clicks per day of cream (2x...
Thanks guys - confirmed my suspicions.
Which leads to my next question:
Suppose my protocol was 120mg/week (60mg T Cyp E3.5D) and I wanted to add 1 click 200mg/ml cream daily (50mg) to increase DHT.
Any idea how much I should reduce my weekly cyp dose to account for the cream?
From past...
Is there any kind of relationship with injection frequency and DHT levels? For example, I have found that spreading out injections lowers my HCT levels. Others find that it lowers E2.
I'm having a hard time imagining that injection frequency could affect DHT levels and would think that it would...
I inject SubQ. I would occasionally have issues with a bit of leakage.
Then I read about this trick: After you have injected the entire volume of the syringe, leave the needle in there for a slow count of 10-15 seconds before removing it.
Has worked very well for me - can't remember the last...
Interesting. So I have accumulated a bunch of EasyTouch syringes over the years, and have a box full of them - several different sizes. Some are a few years old, some several months old, and they all say "Made in Korea".
However, I checked a box of 1cc 28g 1/2" I just got very recently, and...
Well I wouldn't say that I understand this well enough to really have any strong opinions/theories that I would call my own. Just brainstorming really.
Again this is likely oversimplified and may reflect my lack of understanding - I'm just trying to learn here. But I the way I see it is this...
I’m not as familiar with the science as some on this site, so forgive me if I don’t know the correct terms for what Im trying to describe.
Ive heard/read something along the lines of “nandrolone has a greater binding affinity...this in turn leaves more T unbound and results in higher FT...this...
Hey fellas. Yeah that was the plan - to see if I felt better or noticed any subjective differences on the brand name stuff. So far I can't say that I notice anything different at all. No labs yet.
That's good to hear - I'm only in my first 4 weeks of Pfizer, but haven't had any problems yet with the vial tops yet.
It's just a smaller target, looks more flimsy, and I find it harder to tell when the alcohol has dried when compared to Empower vial tops. Also seems like however the safety...
Funny how different we are - I love Empower's vial tops.
I switched to Pfizer T Cyp for a little experiment. Much prefer Empower's vial tops to Pfizer's.
Since I don't notice any difference whatsoever between the two brands, will probably be switching back to Empower.
Just to add to the discussion, daily injections did not lower E2 for me.
Full disclosure: I did just take my weekly total dose from E3.5D and divide it by 7...and I'm aware many guys say you need to lower overall weekly dose with dailies.
Regardless, after 2 months, TT was as low as it had...
To add to what BigBamBoo said, I also do not believe there are any solid rules regarding SHBG and injection schedules.
My SHBG is usually around 23. I tried daily injections and my E2 went way up and I didn't feel as good as I did on E3.5D.
I also experience this, but consider it to be a trade off that goes along with the benefits of TRT.
The way I see it, an orgasm lasts a second or two whereas the improved health I get from TRT is something I live with 24/7, so it is a side effect that I'm willing to accept.
It sounds as if you went on TRT in the absence of any low T symptoms based solely on numbers on a piece of paper - which were decent numbers for a guy your age. May not have been the best choice.
If you are one of those guys that went on "TRT" for the gym benefits, know that there are trade...
Certainly can't answer all of your questions, but for discussion:
Daily shots in general do help to lower HCT/HGB. However, they may or may not lower E2 - some guys experience that dailies lower E2, other guys experience that dailies increase E2.
When I went to dailies, I found that the effort...
