Latest labs - lots of help needed

Don't skip, just talk with your doc and agree upon a dose reduction of some amount. It'll come down fairly fast once you change it up, no need to go cold turkey.

Latest labs - lots of help needed

First, don't panic. Nothing's so bad here that you need to worry, it can be adjusted. Seems to me the best bet would be to lower the T dose...your doc will know how much. But that should lower the T (duh) and also lower the E2.

Yep! Make sure to pick up Dr. Crisler's book as well. And there are others out there worth a gander too.

    Does injection frequency impact hematocrit

I had no idea E2 was related to hematocrit. I have high hematocrit issues and would love to find another way to battle them besides expensive blood draws. My E2 (sensitive) last test was 49. We're trying to lower it some by adding calcium D-glucarate and lowering my T dose very slightly. If that...

    Optimistic about new protocol

I've had low SHBG as well. But I noticed my lab value has risen as I've gone from once a week injections, to every 3.5 days, to my current protocol which is EOD. Started around 20 before TRT, been up and down at various times but never higher than 26, and now it's at 31. Not sure why it's going...

    TRT Dose for low SHBG?

That sounds like something I would say. I'm with you on all of that. But I do say I feel fantastic because my mental health was the #1 reason for going on TRT and it's improved soooo much that fantastic is just a great word to describe the difference.

Get In This Thread if You Feel Great!!!

Though we're still nuancing my protocol, I currently feel the best I've ever felt since starting TRT over a year ago. There's definitely still room for improvement, but if I had to stay here forever I'd be good with that. Current protocol: 45mg (.23cc) Test Cyp EOD 25mg micronized DHEA daily...

    TRT Dose for low SHBG?

It's bad in the sense that it makes TRT more difficult to manage (and I hear for some men they don't feel the subjective effects, sense of well being, etc while on TRT with low SHBG).

    TRT Dose for low SHBG?

Just curious, but what is considered an ideal SHBG? the range goes up to 55 with labcorp, but do you want to be in the middle? Upper part of the range?

    TRT Dose for low SHBG?

Yes, there were some other changes but nothing major or even that consistent. I've tried to cut down my sugar a number of times and have finally succeeded (well, the past month anyhow). I've also finally got back on a workout program, though it's just body weight stuff right now and fairly minor...

    TRT Dose for low SHBG?

I can't say what you should be taking, but I am taking roughly 45mg every other day.

    TRT Dose for low SHBG?

I was a low SHBG guy, at about 17 when I started. But my lest test had me at 31.3, so it's improved somehow. But I have gone from a once a week shot in the beginning, to now doing injections every other day and it seems to work really well for me with the low-ish SHBG.

Low normal test, super low E2, if TRT isn't the answer, what do I do?

That is so untrue. Some men would feel wonderful at 400 (though I've yet to meet one) and others, like myself, didn't truly start feeling great until the 1000+ mark. Do some research on the "standard range" and you'll soon learn that it's mostly useless...for one, they included older men who...

Low normal test, super low E2, if TRT isn't the answer, what do I do?

    1. Possibly, but I'm not well versed in that 2. Definitely!!!!! See my above responses about your age and 400... 3. Not sure, other than directly taking estrogen 4. Just call them...you won't be shunned because you're 25 and at 400.

Low normal test, super low E2, if TRT isn't the answer, what do I do?

Your question has been answered: call Defy Medical. They don't bow down at the altar of a mostly BS list of "normal" ranges.

Not sure what to do next

Yep, Defy does. That's who I'm with and I couldn't be happier. I've been with 2 others, and they weren't bad, just not nearly as good as Defy is.

Not sure what to do next

Might be a good idea. I'd recommend him going to EOD injections for 5-6 weeks first, then maybe to daily if necessary since he's only done every 3.5 days at this point.

That's the million dollar question. I hope someone like Consumer Reports picks it apart and gives us a good idea. Regardless, I intend to put down my $95 and take a chance on it.

    Hematocrit and Hydration.

Yep, I just had a therapeutic phlebotomy and they said my hematocrit was 56...it's never been that high and was tested at 54 a month or so ago at Labcorp. So I wouldn't trust their number.

Low normal test, super low E2, if TRT isn't the answer, what do I do?

400 isn't exactly normal for a 25 year old. You should be at your peak, around 800-900 right now, not 400. No wonder you don't feel good. Yes, you might be young for TRT, as there very well may be another fix to your problem. I would consult with a good TRT doc, and personally recommend Defy...

Not sure what to do next

Have you ever had your SHBG tested? That could be the culprit, if it's low. Also, consider splitting your dose into every other day injections. That's what I did and haven't felt better since. You said you missed a dose when traveling out of town? Why? It's easy to take with you anywhere.

Wow...56...and I thought I was the lowest I'd ever seen before treatment (mine was 61). Glad you're finally getting treatment! Who are you seeing?

Video: Interview with Dr Rand McClain About Testosterone and More

As much as I love Dr. Rand and watch all of his HRT videos, I'm still finding myself shocked every time I hear him say his standard protocol is to start all guys with 1mg of anastrozole EOD. That goes squarely against almost everything I've learned in my time studying TRT. Maybe I've not learned...

Have any thoughtful insight or experience??

I think you should consider TRT again, this time with a cutting edge protocol behind it. And do injections, twice a week at least. I know you've had lots of experience, but I believe you can get to a steady state with the right, personalized protocol and you won't be behind the 8-ball all the...

Anyone else see these? I've been fascinated with it every since I saw the video on it. They just recently made it easier to buy, letting you put down just $95 and...

Will Testosterone Help Me Keep Muscle While Dieting?

Interesting study. Thanks for sharing it. I definitely need to trim up a bit, so it's nice to know that I won't necessarily be cannibalizing muscle if I do it right.
