Pretty much you can inject anywhere if using a shallow needle. I use 1/2” 29g and inject in random areas all the time. Shoulder one day, thigh the next, glute another, etc.
I was on TRT for a year and stopped TRT cold turkey. Had no crash. I actually felt pretty good at about the 3-4 week mark. Better than when I was one TRT.
Started TRT again, and am making some adjustments, but looks like I might give it up again due to The unwanted side effects TRT causes for me.
Last year we did try lowering to 150mg a week (MWF injections) and my FT ended up mid range and my TT was in the lower 800’s.
I felt pretty crappy in all aspects, so we bumped the dose back up.
So again, physically I feel pretty good. Workouts are intense, recovery is good, joints feel better...
I guess to get my numbers up where “everyone” says that is where they should be to feel best.
If you look at my labs, my FT and TT are just at or a little over high (current) lab ranges. And if we go back a few years, they would be under high range.
Physically I feel good. Mentally and the...
I do not tolerate AI at all. Even extremely small dose (3 x .125 mg in a 1 1/2 week period) caused me to have the first and only panic attack I have every had in my life.
My wife is in the OE3 Union and is an operator, so know the world you are in. Stay safe.
As for my workouts, I lift 4 days week. I bench, deadlift, and squat about the same as I did in my 30’s.
Most folks think I am in my late 30’s based on my physical appearance.
I get what you are saying...
I do not tolerate AI at all. I took three .125 capsules in a week and a half and I had a horrible panic attack.
I have never had a panic attack in my life prior to the AI or since.
Yes, we did test it prior to stopping. I will have to dry and find those labs and see what is was.
I do know Dr. Calkins was not worried at where it was at at the time.
Hi Sean.
Yes, that was mentioned before I stopped TRT. I really do not want to use creams.
I am trying to keep what I take to a minimum.
I am very surprised that my SHBG and my total cholesterol have dropped so much in three months.
I have been eating a bit better....not that I was eating...
Yes, I stopped cold turkey and literally had no crash or issues.
My levels off were around 580 TT, but only 9 FT. SHBG was 70+
So we will see what Defy says and go from there.
Since I am in EOD now, ED would not be a big deal for me. And I am not opposed to lowering my dose if it would help.
I am at a loss as to why I feel the way I do mentally and have the sexual issues.
I am hoping that Defy will have some insight this time around and it will be a “simple fix”.
So...as some of you may remember I stopped TRT awhile ago. And was feeling really good....for awhile.
But after a bit, I was not having good workouts, my energy was less, I was having more pronounced mood swings, etc.
I decided to reach back out to Defy and see what they thought. We spoke...
I am a high SHBG guy (around 75), and I felt best on EOD.
I first tried MWF....Monday morning...Weds afternoon...and then Friday night.
And while I felt better and my E2 dropped from 70+ to the high 30’s, I felt even better when I went to EOD.
I never did get labs in the EOD protocol...I ended...
I am a high SHBG guy...around 75...and felt best on EOD injections. The twice a week schedule had my E2 up around 75. Retained water, etc.
When I went to EOD I lost 10 lbs in about 2-3 weeks. E2 dropped to the high 30’s.
Yep...totally counter to what should work for high SHBG....or so what is...
With those kinds of swings in T levels, I do not see you ever feeling good on the gel.
Again, I have never used gels/creams, so maybe those who have will chime in.
Just my opinion, but I would switch to injections. You should be much more linear/stable vs the cream/gel.
Also, if you can post complete labs, other on here can give you some advise based on your labs.
Hang in there.
TRT has always been a struggle for me when it comes to sexual issues.
Pre TRT I had great sex and ejaculation and orgasm intensity was great.
Never had any ED issues, etc.
When on TRT, no ED issues but my ejaculation volume goes from VERY large “loads” to hardly anything. And the intensity...
I have high SHBG and was told clomid would increase my SHBG. So I got my mind set for the “crash” and stoped cold turkey.
Absolutely no crash. Within a very short time I felt REALLY good. All the sides I was experiencing went away in the first month of being off TRT.
I returned to my prior pre...
Two injections into it things are just getting started.
Some men are “over responders” to such things as T, HCG, AI, etc. So it is possible that you are hyper aromatiser which is causing a rise or spike in your E2.
High E2 has reported effects of fatigue.
When you introduce TRT your body is...
LOL....now that is some funny shit right there.
Let’s see....I am 50...never had a panic attack in my life or suffered from anxiety. And once I stopped the AI...magically I never had the problem again.
Oh...and when did I ever say low E2 caused the panic attack?
I said the AI caused. There...
Do some searching about the negative effects that some folks experience from AI.
Panic attack/anxiety is a common one for those who do not tolerate AI.
I had a bunch of the “common” low T symptoms. Mood, lack of energy, slow recovery from working out, etc.
But libido and sexual function was never one of the issues. Guess I am lucky.
