Welcome to the forum.
Scary heart stuff! Keep on it.
I can not comment on the beta blockers.
As mentioned above, thyroid can cause a lot of problems including some you are experiencing.
And it is important to note that “in range” lab results are usually far from optimal.
Finding a GOOD TRT...
Another thing that jumps out at me in your labs is your high TSH.
You should add a full thyroid panel as well.
As madman posted, you have a terrible protocol. You should find a new doctor or go to small injections more frequently.
On EOD injections I feel more linear....but that was also a problem (See below).
I seem to have less physical sides on EOD. But chasing the “best” protocol can introduce all kinds of problems.
Most guys on here seem to best with sticking with a long term plan and only make small tweaks once...
I am a high SHBG guy. I started with twice a week. Went to three times and then to EOD.
I felt best on EOD and it did lower my SHBG.
As S1W said, if you feel good, I would not mess with trying to change things.
It has been brought up a few times here. Not sure there was ever an answer.
Just that maybe DHA, E, or many others levels being to high or too low.
Maybe someone else will weigh in.
Well since I am not doing TRT currently there is no real way to raise my FT short of getting back on TRT.
And with all the negative sides I get from TRT I am just going to roll with it for now.
Thanks for the input.
Thanks folks.
At this time, no, I am not thinking about restarting.
If/when I do decide to revisit it, I will look at Enclomiphene or some thing like that.
My pre TRT levels where pretty close to the above labs. As. high SHBG guy, it’s my free T that has always been low.
Yes, I stopped cold...
So...some of you may remember some of my posts. I had struggled with TRT. Never getting dialed in.
So about a year or so ago I stopped TRT. Many aspects of being off TRT for me are positive.
Better sexual function...yes...TRT gives me sexual issues. Mostly large drop in cum volume and force...
You need to research a bit more. “In range” for labs in generally far from optimal.
your thyroid can be “in range” but can make you feel like you are feeling.
If it is in your labs, please post your TSH number.
As for your doctor....find a new one. Obviously he knows little about TRT.
Good...
Do some research on intermittent fasting. It has shown to increase FT and TT in some men.
I have been doing fasting for awhile now and overall I feel much better all around.
I will say the first few weeks was tuff, but once I got use to it, all is good now.
If your doctor has you in a every two week protocol....you need to find a new doctor.
There are soooooo many things that effect T doses and one guy might be fine on XYZ dose, while the next guy that same protocol does not work at all.
I have stopped TRT a few times. I have been as high as 240mg a week to as low as 120 a week.
Each time I have stopped cold turkey. No big “crash” or hard time.
Actually I go through a “honeymoon phase” about 3 weeks after stopping.
Everyone is different, but my way of thinking is if you want...
There are ways to lower estrogen without the use of AI’s.
my opinion...and only my opinion...take Only what you absolutely need to to get the results you need.
Who knows what the long term use of anything may be? But I try to limit what I put in my body.
I can tell you that for me, intermittent fasting Has done wonders for my lipids, cholesterol, etc.
It is 100% sustainable and for me has been a real game changer.
Just another choice to look at.
One of the reasons I stopped TRT was the flat/linear/lack of emotion feeling I got over time.
I just did not get excite or feel down...I felt very little.
I guess for some this would be a good thing. But for me, I like having ”normal” mood variances.
I have been doing intermittent fasting for awhile now. I only eat between 3:00pm and 8:00pm. Nothing but water the rest of the time.
LOTS of positive benefits from it. There are claims that it even raises T, though I have not had blood work since starting it.
As for body aches when...
The first couple of weeks is the hardest.
After that it gets easier.
You can start by just cutting out breakfast and then work up from their.
If you want more info, just PM so we don’t highjack this thread.
But it has proven to lower HCT, lipids, etc.
At 50 years old my natural TT is 550-600. But due to my high SHBG, my free T is around 9-10.
I have labs from about 12+ years ago and my TT was 750. Did not know there was a FT or SHBG test back then.
Our youngest son (21 yo) who is very athletic has a TT of 900+, SHBG 23, and FT at 19 at his...
I have stopped TRT a few times now. Always did it cold turkey.
Pretty much returned to pre TRT levels after about a month.
Never had a crash. In fact, I always go through a “honeymoon phase” about 2-3 weeks after stopping.
Everyone is different, so what works for one, might not work for...
I have always thought that if one was able to supplement with T, that would be best.
I know for myself, my body does not seem to resound well to “replacing” T.
Many of us know the “honeymoon“ phase when staring...or for me I get that honeymoon stage when stopping T as well...so my thoughts are...
Hello.
Welcome to the forum. There are a bunch of great folks here.
Shrinking if the nuts will be an individual thing. I started with HCG as part of my protocol. It did not help and caused water bloating, and I think caused a rise in E2.
When I am on TRT my load volume goes waaayyyy down. One...
I started with empower’s T. Had lots of sides from day one. tried their compounded T as well. Same issues.
westward gave me the least issues and “feels” the best to me. Followed by Pfizer.
Those are the only three I have tried.
Sides include heart palpitations, stinky sweat, oily skin, etc...
well my story goes like this....
Started TRT and along with it, 5000iu of D, fish oil, etc.
After about 3-4 months in TRT my blood pressure stated to rise. Nothing in my blood work indicated a reason for the increase...HCT around 46.
Tried all kinds of changes. Nothing helped.
I stopped TRT...
