Curious, why would someone want to use DES instead of LR3? Only reason I can think of is DES will give immediate short term pump and has to be site injected (i.e. bilat biceps) whereas LR3 has a much longer half-life and is systemic. Do you see spikes in IGF-1? Insulin? Glucose? Using it for...
A followup to the Fourier Trial: Study Alleges Mortality Miscount in FOURIER Trial; TIMI Group Disagrees

Doesn't give me much confidence.
Thanks. Here are some links of concern:
Doubling of Hemoglobin A1c on PCSK9 Inhibitor Therapy
Restoring mortality data in the FOURIER cardiovascular outcomes trial of evolocumab in patients with cardiovascular disease: a reanalysis based on regulatory data
The latter study casts further doubt...
I have a scrip for Repatha but haven't yet started. Covered by insurance so cost not an issue. Was concerned that LDL would go too low and cause issues. Also, side effects. Read that it can cause hyperglycemia (diabetes). Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for the response. I am 63, with some issues (hypertension, past blood clot, sleep apnea) for which I am being treated and stable. Both TT and FT are less than optimal. I wanted to first try compounds that could help optimize T levels naturally so I started with herbal boosters and...
Thanks. That is ~27% cheaper than Defy's price for 12.5mg, I believe also sourced from Empower. I assume your doc isn't tacking on any profit.
What symptoms did you feel were not resolved?
Any side effects similar tyo clomiphene (i.e. ocular impairment)?
Did you observe any changes in body...
We like all the anti-aging, anti-cancer, cardio-protective, gut-enhancing, cognitive, anti-diabetic, etc. benefits of a long-standing and safe drug as metformin, but hate the drawbacks of reduced mitochondrial function, testosterone, B12 and muscle mass.
What about this stack to counter these...
I am going on one year of my Metformin trial. I am not diabetic. I started it for its many benefits beyond its primary use as an anti-hyperglycemic agent. I started with 500mg b.i.d. of XR and went as high as 2g/day total, now at 1500mg. I, however, have it particularly weak in reducing my...
Trigs: 100
Recently had a lumbar MRI:
Mild to moderate degenerative disc disease L1-L2. Mild right paracentral disc bulge. Mild narrowing of the right lateral recess. Disc touches the right 2nd nerve. Mild to moderate degenerative disc disease L5-S1. No stenosis. Osteophyte (bone spur) touches...
DR update.
Video here so you can better see what has happened.
This is how I used to look back in 2014 and 2015 before all this started. As you can see I did not have an umbilical hernia and my abs were normal. I still don't know exactly why this happened. All I know is that it was very gradual.
The B12 depletion is the least of the worries with taking met. Just take 1-5 mg methylB12, problem solved. My serum B12 is always elevated, despite taking 1500mg met daily because I supplement. Do not take the cheap, toxic cyano B12, it's crap and doesn't get absorbed well. I recommend this one...
For those with experience with GH, peptides, IGF-1...
Some quick background:
First signs of trigger finger, carpal/cubital tunnel (numbness) started in early 2019.
Had TF surgery (percutaneous release) in June, 2020 - successful outcome.
Slow progression in a few other digits since, but no...
I was using the CJC-1295/IPAMORELIN blend at a dose of 200/200mcg - I actually enjoy the transient moderate euphoric head rush.
Does anyone know what the mechanism behind that is? It seems that it's from the CJC, nit the ipa.
I'm surprised this has not been addressed again in more recent threads and would appreciate a refresh and update on this topic for those that are using this compound. I was on KS-10 for approx. 3 mos. but am putting it on hold until I can get a better grasp on this concern.
I'm not on TRT and now wonder how bad ferritin would plummet if I were to be!
I do not have HH (I have 1 copy of H63D, carrier of hemochromatosis, unaffected since I'm not also a C282Y hemochromatosis carrier). My electrophoresis test results are all within range.
Here's something I have to...
Saw this thread and here goes:
Normal serum iron, low ferritin (idiopathic hypoferritinemia)
moderate anemia (low or low normal HCT/HGB/RBCs)
no evidence of bleeding on colonoscopy, EGD, capsule endo, negative FOBT.
Latest iron labs:
Tried every oral iron form (always with vitamin C)...
Update:
Cycled off the GH secretagogue peptides for about a week (continued with BPC-157, TB-500).
Not only is the carpal tunnel continuing to be an issue, but my existing trigger finger got much worse as well and has spread to my other digits and even thumbs which I never had a problem with...
I don't believe TMC has much of any injectable peptides available since the FDA investigation a couple years back and more recent product recalls. PS is the only one I trust now + the practitoner markups of pharma peptides are ridiculous. I have had thje PS peptides 3rd-party tested and all came...
Appreciate the in-depth response.
Although many of Centeno's patients inquire about BPC-157, he remains skeptical of peptides in general mainly due to his past fight with the FDA over his clinic's PRP/stem cell protocols which made him skittish about adding compounds that have, at best, only...
Where are you seeing that in the Regenexx blog? I have just finished having an in-depth consultation with my local Regenexx clinic and I'm looking at having several joint issues addressed using a combination of special concentrate PRP and BMAC stem cell injections. I brought this issue of...
I am strill trialing KS-10, not enclomiphene yet. So far into the 2nd month, have not seen a continued increase in total T, but a substantial increase in free T. Can't tell any difference in how I feel.
Nelson - for the surgery, do you recall if you had open release surgery in which you had stitches - or percutaneous release which is minimally-invasive, ultrasound-guided and without stitches? How long was the post-op pain and recovery time?
Already tried a few times and didn't work, so release is only option at this point. Just don't know why it happens in my case and I don't see any other lifters who been training for decades getting this problem.

The warning signs started in 2019. Had first surgery in 2020. Thought it was a one and done. 3 years later and I am plagued with the worst trigger finger and pain in the rest of my...
I am not a fan of BigPharma, but Telmisartin is an exceptionally excellent drug and the best of all the ARBs. I take 80mg once daily. Zero side effects. Many health benefits.
