Thanks guys.
I did give the blood today. When the checked the hematocrit it was at 51.7 So a little higher then the other day. No real issues with the procedure. Just the cost. $135. The tech said the cutoff was 40 and that's were I should be at. Maybe they use a difference scale then...
That's kind of the direction I am leaning. Before TRT I was in the mid 40s. Recently I have been having more numbness then usual in my fingers/toes and other "extremities" Wondering if it's the hematocrit.
Down about 3 points though with the inclusion of a half of grapefruit just about every...
I have a blood letting scheduled for tomorrow morning. I just got my most recent blood work back and it looks like the grapefruit is making a difference!
It's down from 53.9 in August.
With these values do you think I should still get the blood drawn?
Sorry for the long delay in replying. Been super busy.
Yes, I think it did. But I will be confirming with a blood test next week. Acne was/is greatly diminished which was really my biggest issues there for a while.
I just got a CBC today to check hematicrit again. I think it's still high...
To add to a bit to this conversation. I started out on about 86mg per week. It got me up to almost 800, then I fell back to low 500s. (HCG 400iu 2x per week) I changed my dosage to about 106mg T cyp. per week EOD and cut my HCG back a bit and have been steady now for a several months with...
Hope this thread is still interesting to people. Just another quick update before I get more labs done which I am now focusing on my hematacrit.
9 days later since my last post.
Still feeling great. Perhaps as good as I have in years. All issues have resolved for the most part except...
Also,
When did you get your blood tested? Do it first thing in the morning. Otherwise you may be looking at values that are at a low point through out the day.
Just another quick update.
Thank you. no, THANK YOU! for those that suggested reducing the HCG. Obviously last test it was down 18 points from 4 weeks prior. I have not tested since then but I can tell there is a difference. My acne has really diminished and my Libido is extremely high...
Next test I will be drinking water before I leave for the test.
I got the script for the TP. But now I feel OK. I wonder if I just wasnt still sick last week. My headaches have stopped at least. I will still get another test done soon before I have them take blood because maybe it's not...
Best thing to do is start low (100 to 120mg/week?) with T and work your way up based on how you feel. 200mg/week is the top of the therapeutic levels administered.
I think this may have something to do with the state I am in. But I (as well as he) could be wrong.
On another note, today my headaches have subsided but I have been drinking water like crazy.
Well the past several blood tests I have fasted for 10 to 12 hours and this included no water intake.
"Just" donating is not going to be easy. MY TRT doc does not have privileges at a hospital and it appears that in order to write a therapeutic phlebotomy script he needs to be. I don't have a...
That's the plan right now since I can't give blood at this point. I am ordering a CBC and will be well hydrated for the test. Wont be able to do this until Wednesday at the earliest since I have to get discountlabs script which I am ordering today. Hopefully the test will come back quickly...
About a month before I started on testosterone (I had been on HCG mono for about 6 months)
Previous test about 8 weeks ago (June 2017)
About 1 year into TRT (Latest test)
There could be some truth to this. The head pain I experienced early this morning while sleeping really freaked me out though.
I am going to hydrate and just get a CBC done this week and see where it falls.
If it is rising I may be out of luck and have to quit TRT.
Ok,
So I am a bit freaked out right now. I started eating a half of a grapefruit yesterday BTW.
I was just awoken by a sharp shooting pain in the back of my head. Been having some head pressure/pain for about a week or so now. And I noticed that I am having a tiny bit of labored breathing...
I am wondering if you need to increase your injection frequency. This really helped me and as others have said, be patient. I have basically the same issues as you. Though my ED as more severe. It's taken nearly a year for my ED to be greatly improved. I can now get and maintain an erection...
Hey Vince,
How much are you taking and how long before you began to felt relief? Been doing some reading and it looks like even with controlled studies that this indeed does have a positive affect and worth giving it a try.
Thank you!
So in theory, I could do another 50mg/week of T and this wouldn't increase it more? There is nothing linear about TRT and lab work. :-/ I am an engineer and in my life things generally work by a set of rules. Medicine, not so much.
Nothing changed except I lowered HG dose by half.
51.2 to 53.4 in the span of 6 weeks. I figured that after almost a year of injecting I would have stabilized by now.
What is the driving factor and will it stop?!!
Well, in any case, I feel like my current protocol is a good one. I feel good with T in the mid 700s. Maybe I would feel better with E2 lower but right now everything is working as it should. I do have headaches off and on but maybe this is because of the hematicrit?
4 weeks after changing protocol from 400iu E3.5 days of HCG to 200iu E3.5 days my E2 has dropped a bit. My T level has remained pretty consistent. More concerning at this point is my hematicrit. Looks like I am close to donating.
Any suggestions/comments?
