Haven’t been around for awhile….come back to see what’s up and see Rob Roy still at it….I was gonna ask a question of everybody related to e2 creeping up relative to test level as I’ve aged and I’ve been having soft erections (something that has happened since I’ve been on TRT when my levels get...
Dr Andrew Winge did a pretty deep dive on his you tube channel about this topic and cited several studies where the drop off off pregnenolone and DHEA wasn’t near as bad as a lot of us believe when taking testosterone…..of course YMMV, but he doesn’t believe every guy always benefits from or...
Good to see….as I stated above, it didn’t take for me even though my balls blew up to the size of lemons….on another note, a friend of mine who is FIFTY FIVE and been on over ten years quit COLD TURKEY a year ago (I just found this out yesterday)….he felt like shit for about 6 months but pushed...
I agree that the stable levels seen with more frequent injections looks better on paper and “should” theoretically be better….but clinically there are MANY men who don’t feel as good with more frequent injections…I’m not about to try to explain why because I don’t know (and I’d be cautious to...
Couldn’t agree more….I ll probably have to start lower (60-70 mg range), but I have not given once a week dosing a fair shot since early on when I was prescribed 200 mg a week. It may be time to do that….
I think it’s probably accurate….the middle 75-80 percent on the bell curve will probably notice improvements and not have any real side effects with the doctor following the Pfizer instructions or the Endocrine Society recommendations. As I’ve stated, I know SEVERAL guys (as we all probably do)...
I don’t get it….why? Why would you feel the need to come on here and rip on someone? I accept the fact you have extensive training and clinical experience, and have probably done good things for many patients. However, to act like ALL of the science is settled in this field and you have ALL...
I had not heard of him prescribing ARBs, but that seems to be something a lot of the TRT docs are doing….especially telmisartan. I think a lot of them are doing it more for the longevity/ age management aspect, especially with the “older” set. I watched a podcast with Dr Andrew Winge and he...
Speaking from personal experience, I have a friend that got his thyroid “optimized” and he ended up in the ER with his heart doing all kinds of funky shit after feeling like death for about a week (don’t know if it was AFIB, PVCs or what the actual diagnosis was)….when he had his pre treatment...
Man….let me be gone awhile and come back and see a good thread (it had been dragging around here for a bit)! All I have is my 13 years of personal experience to offer. I’m in no way a textbook study, and I’m similar to Charliebizz in many ways. I’m on my second well known TRT doc, and seem to...
I tried a doctor supervised restart with Clomid and went 4 months on it before I threw in the towel….unlike you, I had great LH and FSH response, but apparently my balls are dead because they swole up to the size of lemons but my TT never got above 330….Im not trying to be a Debbie Downer here...
No doubt libido and erections are multi factorial, especially as we age…..I’m in what I would consider on the good side of overall health and fitness, stress levels fluctuate but many have it worse….just puzzling that when I have a “good” run of libido and response I can’t put my finger on...
Yessir….been on the 5mg for a handful of years now….I may go back and give it more time, but I gave it a good couple of months…I get so jealous of the friends I have that shoot 100 mg (or more) once a week and sail along. I’ve asked myself if maybe my expectations are just out of line at 54...
Yeah….just the regular base….what’s funny is I put 4 clicks on my inner thighs for awhile just to see what would happen and within 2 weeks I could tell it wasn’t doing shit…pulled TT and it was 210! Apparently my skin is like plastic except on my balls…and yeah, I’m sure the high test levels...
2 clicks had me at 1200 TT and 30 FT….Empower brand….but erections we’re still hit or miss….probably because it drove my E2 too high…I was hoping the stuff I had read about DHT countering higher E2 would help that, but it didn’t seem to help (DHT was around 250, E2 58). As I’ve stated elsewhere...
Sounds familiar….I could get to 720 TT 5 hrs post application with only 50 mg to scrotum….and I preferred the overall feeling I had on cream, but sexual function was hit or miss and I could never figure out why….
It’s funny how different everybody is….That’s why I get so irked when I hear people speak in absolutes on the whole AI issue….I agree it’s best to try not to use one IN GENERAL, and I don’t agree with throwing a guy on a dose of test and automatically adding an AI….but the other side pisses me...
Anywhere in the 20s to low/mid 30s….back when I used an AI I ended up crashing down to single digits (I “over respond” to anastrozole), and I lost all sex drive….funny thing is I recall feeling pretty good even in the teens though. Haven’t used an AI in about 9-10 years after lowering my dose...
Soft erections, diminished libido, and increased anxiety….as long as I keep my dose on the lower end my E2 doesn’t give me any problems…back when I ran higher levels I would start getting soft erections like clockwork when it reached the upper 30s or higher….never could get the AI dialed in back...
This is not entirely in keeping with the thread topic, but I noticed something on my latest labs…..years ago I had a doc put me on compounded NDT….I had been running 200mg a week, and my TSH was 4.5 with free values still in normal range but on the low side….I dropped my dose years ago after...
I’ve tried subq with injections in belly fat, and while I didn’t get increased E2, my T levels dropped by almost half….6 weeks, nothing different other than injection site….it works for a lot of guys, but I just stick to shallow IM in the delts….
Yeah….Im one of those folks (so far) that as long as I avoid a lot of processed and added sugar I seem to do better with some more carbohydrates and a little less fat….particularly in the digestive department…!
5-6 eggs w bacon or sausage and coffee for breakfast….usually sprinkle the eggs liberally with cheese. I put heavy cream in the coffee, and sometimes butter (it’s actually good)
“Burger salad” for lunch (burger patty with lettuce, tomato, cheese, onions and avocado
Some cut of steak...
My biggest problem in that regard is I don’t mind the fatty meat and eggs I get to eat, but I don’t care for but a few of the non starchy vegetables on the list….from what I’ve read, the yellow color probably comes from extra bile required for the fat digestion (sorry…nobody likes hearing about...
Folks,
This is actually the first thread I have started on here, despite years of participation in other threads.
Started eating Keto / LCHF about 3-4 months ago, keeping average carb intake to around 50 ish grams a day. Understood from research going into it that some digestive issues may...
In my experience and from what my doc told me when I tried to go off the second time, after 4-6 weeks of a recovery protocol you are not likely to see any improvement from where you are….it just depends on how you feel and whether that is good enough for you. I’m convinced some guys can get by...
I had pre existing anxiety issues that were under control with 50 mg of Zoloft daily….once I started TRT I noticed an uptick in anxiety symptoms along with a weird social anxiety that had never been part of my symptoms before….I would like to tell you I know exactly why this happens to some...
I eat some fruits and vegetables, however the bulk of my diet is meat, eggs, nuts and cheese…if there ever came a time I had nothing but vegetables to eat I would do it…but I wouldn’t be happy about it!!
I would say wait a couple of weeks after last injection, and start the HCG 500 IU twice a week and 50 mg of Clomid every day for two weeks, then 25 every day for two weeks. You could probably get by with 25 daily for the whole month….some people will say to go longer, which you can do, but if...
