I can see one getting concerned about having an erection for 2 hours but priapism doesn't typically occur until the erection has lasted for 4 hours or longer. There is a risk of permanent scarring of the penis after 4 hours but definitely occurs after 48 hours. Priapism is somewhat uncommon and occurs in about 1 in 100,000 males per year.
Is it possible the Cialis you took had a reaction with something else you had consumed? 5 mg of Cialis isn't normally considered strong enough to be effective as a erection "builder" but many take it for hypertension or BPH. I now several that may take a 20 mg Cialis or stronger on top of a daily 5 mg dose for better quality erections.
Other than seeming that you can't get an erection, have you notice anything difference in sensitivity to the touch, pain since the 2 hour ordeal, any difference in appearance?
Any issue with urination or is there any kind of discharge?
Is the pain at the base or is it the pubic bone area? Many years ago when I was a young man I had an encounter with a beautiful woman and this particular women like sex very aggressive, more so than my young experience had encountered before. The sex lasted for what seemed like hours and hours. The following day I was sore at the base of my penis and the layer of fat, muscle at the pubic bone area. I was a little concerned that I might have "broke" something. But it went away in a couple of days and I didn't have any issue with obtaining an erection. Actually, she helped me work the soreness out. However, I was much younger and not sure how that might effect me today. It would probably kill me.
Maybe you were a little more aggressive than normal? If not, your body might be sending you a signal that something is wrong and you need medical attention. Leaving something like that unattended can cause permanent damage. Have you felt around down around the base really good? Are there knots or small lumps that could be scar tissue? There is a condition called Peyronie's Disease but I am by no means a doctor. Just trying to think this through with you.
If it persist I think I would have a doctor look at it.
Welcome to ExcelMale, two hours is not long enough to get priapism, nothing to be concerned about.
I've had many erections lasting two plus hours, never had any issues. I actually enjoy the feeling. A good of mine who did not have any ED issues, use 100mg of Viagra and his penis hurts so much he couldn't even have sex. Afterwards he's never had any ill side effects from it. I believe it's more from worrying that any physical issues, if you can get it out of your mind and just have a good time making love. Hopefully that would take away any problems you're having.
Hope you get good news.
So maybe it was like a "hard" workout and you built up a bunch of lactic acid?
That explanation makes sense to me. Might just need to rest that muscle another day and all will be good.
I think if you had priapism in your sleep you would know. I am thinking it would start to get pretty painful and you wouldn't be able to sleep through it.
