reddit has a trt_females sub which actually looks like it has a lot of good advice and participation. There's also a steroidsxx sub where discussion is mostly geared (no pun intended) towards steroid cycles, but there is some discussion about hormones and HRT in general as well.
It seems from what I've seen that women have better results with Test Propionate than longer esters. It's also much faster to get off of and regain baseline levels (~3 days vs ~3 weeks) if anything goes wrong with virilization or other negative side effects, making it a lot safer. But in general they also seem to feel better (libido, confidence, energy, etc...) on shorter esters.
Start low (~3.5mg/week) and go up from there after giving the protocol time to stabilize and assessing symptoms in conjunction with lab results. A lot of clinics start women way too high imo.
I don't know much about other hormones for women. I know Progesterone and Estrogen need to be balanced to avoid Estrogen dominance, but I'm not sure how that works. In men, higher Progesterone levels block 5-ar and therefore conversion to DHT to a very significant degree, which is problematic, but I'm not sure about women.
Some women seem to get enough E2 from the little they get from T conversion, other women need to add extra exogenous Estrogen. This is where it's ultimately very individual and she'll have to figure out what works best for her.
