Hi madman. You are very knowledgeable and have a lot of wisdom to share. My problem is i don't have time to watch all these videos or studies that you post. If you can do us busy men a favor. When posting a study or video can you first summarize the conclusions in your own words in simple English. I really want to learn from you but i can't understand all the jargon of the studies nor do i have the time. It would be a great help. Thank you

This is interesting Beet Powder according to him doesn't actually work? The first time I ever used it, it was astonishing how well it worked. The same with L-Citrulline.

Now according to him most people have trouble on the conversion to NO step, so adding additional L-Citrulline, L-Argenine Beet Powder etc. is not going to help.

The link below is a double-blind study of Covid patients who were taking Dr. Nathan's lozenges, and the study was halted due to the results being futile. Now those were severely ill patients if I am not mistaken, I would never say his lozenges don't work on a normal healthy or becoming healthy person. It's a big-step up financially from mixing cheap powders to gain NO. My conclusion is that whatever enzyme creates the NO gas in the body must be working fine for me because I see it vascularity and feel it in my peenus. Still the skin stuff in the videos above seems interesting.

Cialis stopped working for the most part in May/June, because the Vitamin Shoppe I have been getting my iron for years ran out, at all SoCal locations, so I was forced on other types of iron to which I responded poorly, ferritin dropped and the effectiveness of Cialis waned.

I’ve just started responding again after 30 days of restarting the iron once it was back in stock. In the last two days, my heart rate and blood pressure have been dropping, most notably in the gym, within a minute after intense workouts.

So insufficient ferritin, iron is a cause for non-response to Cialis.

Maybe Uncle Arnold can help you busy men....

You don't have time or won't make time?

Hey hey no one is obliged to summarise anything. If someone posts something, that is great. If they go over and above that to take their personal time to summarise it, that's great too. If someone else summarises something, that too is appreciated. Asking questions relating to and debating posted content is one thing, but I don't think its right to demand things from others like @madman who already contribute way more than anyone else. As a suggestion perhaps press the "home" button and you will see lots of content under "latest articles". Skip down each article to the conclusion if you are short of time...

Rant aside, back on the topic of NO. Bought some citrulline maleate (2:1) the other day, just to play with. I don't have ED \ have never tried viagra\cialis.

All I can say is that every night since I have taken it, I have a rock hard erection the entire night. (My sleep is usually very light and I awaken multiple times and fall asleep immediately again, therefore I am aware of the erection).

1/4 teaspoon AM and PM.

I think the involuntary erection and erection while having sex, both have different mechanism. I might be wrong bcas i most people have no problem with night time erection but while having sex, they csnt get it up, it might be due to venous leak in different position or other reasons.

I believe the mechanism of night time erections is a combination of (primarily) low norepinephrine and (likely also) lack of psychological blocks due to daytime stress. This was covered in other threads related to alpha-blockers promoting erections. I believe an alpha-blocker is part of Trimix but others would know better.

Ya psychological blocks can also be the reason. Do u know any treatment for psychological ED? I mean, Can we get erection without being attracted to partner? Like taking pills or something. I am currently taking 5mg tadalafil but its not working as expected. Viagra n other pde5 gives me so much headache that i cant enjoy. I only use it for emergency. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

"The ability to engage in sexual behavior and the motivation to do so are mediated by different systems in the brain."

A male rat that cannot engage in sexual behavior still seeks receptive females, suggesting that the ability to engage in sexual behavior and the motivation to do so are mediated by different systems in the brain. Like food, sex is an important part of our lives. From an evolutionary perspective, the reason is obvious—perpetuation of the species. Sexual behavior in humans, however, involves much more than reproduction. This section provides an overview of research that has been conducted on human sexual behavior and motivation. This section will close with a discussion of issues related to gender and sexual orientation.

Physiological Mechanisms of Sexual Behavior and Motivation

Much of what we know about the physiological mechanisms that underlie sexual behavior and motivation comes from animal research. As you’ve learned, the hypothalamus plays an important role in motivated behaviors, and sex is no exception. In fact, lesions to an area of the hypothalamus called the medial preoptic area completely disrupt a male rat’s ability to engage in sexual behavior. Surprisingly, medial preoptic lesions do not change how hard a male rat is willing to work to gain access to a sexually receptive female (Figure 1). This suggests that the ability to engage in sexual behavior and the motivation to do so may be mediated by neural systems distinct from one another.

Animal research suggests that limbic system structures such as the amygdala and nucleus accumbens are especially important for sexual motivation. Damage to these areas results in a decreased motivation to engage in sexual behavior, while leaving the ability to do so intact (Figure 2) (Everett, 1990). Similar dissociations of sexual motivation and sexual ability have also been observed in the female rat (Becker, Rudick, & Jenkins, 2001; Jenkins & Becker, 2001).

The medial preoptic area, an area of the hypothalamus, is involved in the ability to engage in sexual behavior, but it does not affect sexual motivation. In contrast, the amygdala and nucleus accumbens are involved in motivation for sexual behavior, but they do not affect the ability to engage in it
