More and more, I believe I fall into the camp of those that feels better with E2 in the normal (non trt) range. Supposedly tetracyclines can raise estrogen levels. I know nothing about the mechanism. But, on two occasions, I have developed symptoms I believe to be E2 related while on Sarecycline (Seysara).
Both times while on Seysara, after several weeks, I get prolonged headaches that don’t respond to NSAID’s and feel different than typical headaches. I suspect they result from elevated E2.
The E2 theory is hard to prove, but I went ahead and got labs today while experiencing this. Hope to know more within a week. The Seysara theory as a factor that pushes me over the edge is even harder to prove, so I thought I’d poll the audience: has anyone ever suspected tetracyclines as a potentially being estrogenic?
