Testosterone Affects Subconscious Threat Processing

A group of women, half with social anxiety disorder, were given one dose of testosterone or placebo. Neutral and angry faces were subliminally flashed on a screen and EEG potentials monitored to see if testosterone affected the processing of the image. Potentials changed for both the neutral and angry images for the group treated with testosterone.
