TestoGel absorption rates - my observations: Are we overdosing with scrotum application?

Hello everyone,

I would like to discuss the following findings with you.

A fit teenager produces approx. 7-10mg of testosterone per day. This would also be the dose that should be calculated as a "natural" substitute. But now the question keeps coming up of how much gel/cream is needed?

Classic transdermal application:
100mg testosterone
-> Deliver approx. 850 ng/dl (30 nmol/l)

Scrotum application:
50mg testosterone
-> deliver approx. 700ng/dl

If you now consider the approx. 7-10mg that are required (for a teenager) to reach 800-1000 ng/dl, the result for:
  1. Classic transdermal (shoulder, upper arms ect) an absorption rate of ~10%
  2. For scrotum it is "almost" twice as much at just under ~17% - BUT not three times or more what has been stated in many forum posts...??
    -> Here, however, the testosteron values fall much faster than with the classic application and possibly more is converted into DHT ect.
What I am wondering now is why dosages of 200mg cream are often applied to scrotum and recommended? The result would then have to go far beyond the natural range of 800-1000 ng/dl - and the free test values are often more important than total testosterone, aren't they?

This also fits in with my observations. With 125mg testosterone (mix Shoulder and Scrotum) I felt overdosed and unwell (tired, unfocused, dull). My Labs showed values double and tripple over max range!

I am currently experimenting with approx. 30mg testosterone on Scrotum only 1-2x a day and feel much better. will also test with mixed areas eg. morning scrotum and evening shoulders (for a more steady state)

Looking forward to your Insight and thoughts
