Shalender Bhasin, M.D., Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, and Director, Boston Claude D. Pepper Older Americans Independence Center; Director, Brigham Research Assay Core Laboratory; Director, Research Program in Men's Health: Aging and Metabolism; and Co-Director, The Center for Transgender Health at Brigham and Women's Hospital, presented the 2022 Beverly Todd Towery Lecture, "A Patient-Centric, Evidence-based Approach to the Management of Older Men with Age-Related Decline in Testosterone Levels" at University of Louisville Department of Medicine Grand Rounds on March 3, 2022

Dr. Bhasin's talk focused on recognizing the potential benefits and risks of testosterone treatment in older men, determining which older men might be candidates for testosterone treatment, and establishing a standardized monitoring plan to optimize the benefit to risk ratio.

I do find it unfortunate that in response to the final question Dr. Bhasin gives the bad advice that for any elective surgical procedure testosterone should be stopped for a week prior.....
