New member with a question. 65 year old that has been TRT for 7 to 8 years. Hoping for information from the group.

After being on TRT for over 7 years I was diagnosed with prostate cancer 4 months ago. For now I am on watchful surveillance, most likely surgery later this year. I expected to lose muscle mass and all the side effects of low T but that did not happen. Last week I checked my total testosterone and it was 568. When I went on TRT my natural level was under 200. Since my cancer diagnoses, I went on a keto diet to slow the cancer growth and my visceral fat has reduced and my job stress is less. Morning erections have increased and sexual desire has increased. My cancer is small and contained within the prostate. Can anyone explain how my natural T increased. I continue to workout and stay on my keto diet. I know Keto can increase T as can reducing visceral fat. I just think my T jumped to much.

Poor sleep can cause your testosterone to plummet as well as excessive body fat and lack of exercise can drop your testosterone.

Keto diets are good for people with type 2 diabetes/metabolic syndrome, which can suppress testosterone.

Are you a type 2 diabetic?
