Just want to get some thoughts on my situation. I’m 34 years old, 6’1” and 278lbs currently. At 19 I was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer and had my thyroid removed and underwent two rounds of radiation, been clean ever since and take a daily hormone replacement (Levothyroxine 250 mcg).
About a 1.5 years ago I was fooling around with my girlfriend (now wife) and noticed some erctile issues. We talked about it and I went to a T Clinic the next week where my levels came in at 337 ng/DL however my PSA level was elevated at like 2.1 in December 2016 so I was referred to a Urologist. Was check again in April 2017 and levels were 212 ng/DL with a 1.7 PSA. For the next year they monitored my PSA and even did a MRI of my prostate with it coming back normal. They then proceeded to put me on 100mg of T-Cip last November.I noticed a big difference almost immediately with erections and libido. However the doctor called in late December and asked me to stop as my PSA was still elevated. Since we were about to move I kept taking my dose as I was half way through and would need a new urologist. Needless to say I finished script end of January and I can’t get so much as a wiggle down below not even with taking 20mg of Tadalafil, which is not good for my new marriage. Went to a new urologist who said he would put me back on the same dose as it seemed to help but when I asked him about the side effects as far as having a child, my wife and I would like to try later this year, he said if you want kids then stay off the T.
What do I do here?!? We want kids so I’m afraid to keep taking the T but can’t seem to have sex without it. I read about mixing in HCG and then maybe Clomid when we want to conceive but not sure what the best plan of action is. Can anyone provide any insight.
