Is it safe to use injectables past their expiration date?

I have some injectable glutathione (preserved in benzyl alcohol) that I got prescribed last year. It’s from Empower Pharmacy, and unopened.

Is it safe to use it if it says it was “expired” in December last year? Is that a real true “expiration” date?

I've recently used Test Prop opened for the first time (and half-used) two years ago and got the same lab results on the same protocol, worked totally fine.

Keep your vials in a dry and dark place and they'll probably be good for a very long time, especially if unopened.
