Injection site, get a tattoo

A lot of times, I am not 100% sure of where to inject, especially in glutes.

I was thinking next time I go to a doctor, I will ask him to mark the best sites, then get a tattoo to mark it, sort of, X marks the spot.

I was thinking the rolling stones lips logo as a good tattoo for my butt to indicate the injection site. Not sure what tattoo for my thigh or shoulder.

Just a suggestion on ideas to indicate good injection sites.

Hmmm, I guess one could do that. It seems to me that it doesn't take long to figure out where to inject. A little reading, a few video's on "How To" and you're set. I inject in several locations; deltoid, ventrogluteal (VG), and the vastus lateralis (outer thigh) for IM which gives me 6 locations plus I inject HCG SubQ in the abdomen in two locations. 8 locations total and I can remember them all.

I'm not opposed to tattoo's at all. I have several but they all mean something to me of more significance than "where to inject".

I am pretty sure I wouldn't want a pair of Mick Jagger's lips on me anywhere.....but that is just me. Maybe just go simple and use the "X" like you mentioned.

If you really want to have a x marks the spot just get a beauty mark tattooed on the spot(s). Girls get fake ones done on there face. I agree with the others though it wont be necessary in time.

I think if there's even a pinch of you being serious about this, about a Dr marking your body and needing a tattoo so that you can remember where to inject that you probably aren't cut out to be doing this unsupervised. Honestly. You're being ridiculous.

I had a little chuckle reading this bc when my wife gave me my shot, I told her to put it right in the middle of the tattoo on my left delt.

I bet that you already have a tattoo there. I too have a tattoo on each deltoid that I inject through but they have been there for years, not something I needed to "mark" the spot.

Yes, both tattoos were done almost 20 years ago to mark a significant military training I completed.

Yes, I was being honest, though in 5 years of TRT I never did it, mostly because when I had the opp I was in Thailand and didn't 100% trust the local tattoo parlors nor have a good idea which one to pick.

I read many threads of people hitting nerves, gushers, drawing blood, asking how to get the right place, etc.

You probably use one of those easy touch syringes with a 1/2 -5/8 inch needle injecting less than 1 ml of Test, i recently used them for HCG, I feel like you can pretty much inject them anywhere, they are like a mosquito.

Whereas I was using a 1.5 inch 5 ml syringe 23 gauge needle injecting 1000 grams / 4 ml of testosterone undecanoate, that is a lot of oil and the recommended site is in your gluteus medius, so I injected into the glute. I never had a problem but I spent some time figuring out exactly where to inject to avoid the sacroiliac nerve and any arteries, and it's recommended you take 2 min to inject. And since I self inject, it isn't the easiest place to locate using a mirror.

50% of the time I still got PIP for a couple of days that feels a little like someone punched me. Not a bother, but noticeable.
