Dopamine agonists have been used in patients with Parkinson’s Disease and Restless Leg Syndrome, and a known side effect is hypersexuality. interesting, I also noticed that modafinil boosts my sex drive big time. it is an dopamine reuptake inhibitor which is essentially a very similar thing.
I would not however take any of those drugs on daily basis

High dose zinc as I have posted about before is a potent prolactin inhibitor (prolactin range is 10-30, and high dose zinc can take you from top end to bottom end of that range).

Since prolactin & dopamine have an inverse relationship, I would postulate that high dose zinc is a potent DA. High dose imo is around 50mg day.

Take the above within reason for those without prolactinomas. Zinc is probably not going to drop 200+ prolactin to within range.

My personal experiance has been that 50-100mg of zinc a day within 2-3 days drastically ups libido, especially sensitivity wise. It worked especially well with lower end test cyp doses ~ 70mg / week for me.

I used to have an abnormally long refractory period naturally, which is what led me to steroids/trt. I felt like total dogs**t after an orgasm. I will admit heavy porn use and subsequent desensitisation likely was the cause of this whole problem in the first case, but thats another story.

So anything that lessens the refractory and dopamine crash after an O is of interest to me. Obviously stopping the cause (heavy porn) is the long term solution, but sometimes you need a quick fix.

The answer to your question needs to be understood in light of the above.

50-100mg zinc lowers the refractory period for me vastly and quickly subjectively gets me out of the dopamine crash (anhedonia). Once I feel better, ill immediately drop the dose or even forget about it. So its not constant use. I find it kind of only works wonderfully on lower doses of TRT ~70mg/week as daily injections.

Perhaps the higher estrogen from higher T doses (and resultant higher prolactin) cannot be overcome by zinc.

Unless a study is done measuring PRL before and after O and then again after a few doses of zinc, my use case is all bro science. But it works for me.

I don't think the doses used would be as high as for Parkinson, so the severity of the side effects should be lower.

I take 25mg of Zinc and 2mg of copper on an inconsistent basis. I have noticed a slight libido boost while taking zinc.

As for DA's, I have yet to find one that doesn't have unpleasant sides. I have had the best luck with caber at 2.5mg, but it still has side effects.

Appreciate this information on zinc. I used zinc fair amount pre-TRT but not so much now. Do you need to take zinc daily to get that result? Or every couple of days?

Selegiline acts as a monoamine oxidase inhibitor, and increases levels of monoamine neurotransmitters in the brain. At typical clinical doses used for Parkinson's disease, selegiline is a selective and irreversible inhibitor of monoamine oxidase B (MAO-B), increasing levels of dopamine in the brain. In larger doses (more than 20 mg/day), it loses its specificity for MAO-B and also inhibits MAO-A, which increases serotonin and norepinephrine levels in the brain.

Not a DA, by inhibiting the enzyme that regulates dopamine, it keeps dopamine levels higher in the brain.

I have had some very positive experiences with this.

Why not tackle it head on with a dopamine booster, e.g. selegiline? Interesting. Do you need to increase the dose of selegline overtime to get the same effect? How long have you been using selegline? If you stop it, do you feel any withdrawal?
