High Cortisol Question

I recently had some 8 am blood work done. My cortisol came back fairly high at 21.5(ref range 3.1-22.4 ug/dl. Has anyone else had a high cortisol reading? I haven't started trt yet. I've read where trt can lower cortisol.

I would get the 4-tube cortisol test as well because it tells you your cortisol levels over a 24 hour period instead of just in the AM. You can get it through discountedlabs.com

Your AM level is high-normal, but what is more important is your levels at other times of the day. For example, if your cortisol spikes high at night, you likely have insomnia or other sleep issues to work on.

Gold stars for ERO!!! He's exactly right, it should be right there at the very top of the Reference Range on the AM.

He's also right about the 4x Saliva Kit. Best to get that plus a matching DHEA correlation analysis, which will give you a pretty full picture of how the adrenals are looking.
