Was prescribed 5 mg of a daily dose but based on posting in this forum I decided to cut the dose in half to start at a lower dose. After about 3 consecutive days I noticed my heart was beating faster during the day and it was more noticeable at bed time.
Read a few other posts on this forum that recommended titrating up with a low dose every other day and then working up the dose to attempt to get back to an every day dose. Tried 2.5 mg every other day but after the third dose the rapid heart rates and higher resting heart rate returned. My Apple watch even dictated this and reported that my beats per minute during sleep had increased by 12 beats per minute. I tried cutting the dose even further by splitting the pill to try to get down to 1.25 mg and took it every other day and again by the third does the rapid heart beats returned in the middle of the night.
I'm taking the generic Tadalafil and it says it was manufactured in India. Not sure if that is an issue versus the name brand Cialis. Needless to say that the results are great, however I can't figure out a way to overcome the heart rate issue. Anyone out there have any suggestions on how to possibly overcome the rapid hear rate?
