Dr. Berger in Chicago or Defy?

Hello all,

Just wanted to see who has used or is still using Dr. Berger in Chicago for TRT. What are your thoughts and opinions on him? Good, bad or indifferent? I'm in the northern burbs of Chicago and debating between him and Defy. I appreciate any and all responses. TIA.

I believe Nelson and Dr. Berger are friends, and Nelson does speak highly of him. Defy, of course, is a site sponsor and many of our members are happy with the care they receive.

Is Dr. Berger seeing new patients for TRT. I've heard you will see an assistant, but I don't know if that's true.

Hey Vince,

When I scheduled the appt I was specific that it was for TRT and that the appt was with Dr. Berger. Tuesday is my appt. If he passes me off to someone I'll let you know. I'll let you know either way. Don't know that I'd stay if I get passed off. I guess I'll find out on Tuesday and I'll report back. My personality is that is prefer someone local over online.

That would be great to know. If he would pass you to an assistant, you may like to have a consultation with them and take it form there. Anyways I hope it goes good for you.

Just met with Dr. Berger himself for about 30 min. Starting me on 100mg/week of Test. I'll report back if anything changes. Very nice guy.

Did you discuss HCG? Just wondering if he brought it up or had any input. Thanks.

Hey Saul,

We did discuss. He said some men do noir respond to Test. In those cases he will move them to HCG. Will recheck my blood in about 5 weeks.

Your protocol doesn't include HCG at this point? It's commonly started in conjunction with testosterone.

Hey Coast,

I might not have started HCG because I've had a vasectomy?? Not really sure on that one. I'll try to get more info when I see Dr. Berger in 5 weeks for my follow up.

Hey guys,

Just an update. 6 months in and Dr. Berger has NOT passed me off to an assistant. We started out at 100mg 1X/week, moved to 50mg 2X/week as I would feel sluggish at the end of the week before I took my next shot. I have 1 more week of 50mg 2X/week and then I move to 75mg 2X/week as I was feeling sluggish throughout the week. Just did bloodwork yesterday so I will update as soon as I get the results next week.
