I am starting a NEW story line here
I have some other older post that detail the back story
TIRED of peeing every 1.5 to 2.5 hrs 24/7.
After some research AQUABLATION looked like the way to go but no one in Alabama is doing it.
I have been to UAB and had a flow test done that confirmed Bladder Outlet Obstruction (BOO) and BPH. UAB does not do aquablation but does due HoLEP.
Last MRI had prostate size at about 165. LARGE!!!
I looked around and Emory University does Aquablation so I called and set up an appointment with Dr. Lorentz a few weeks ago. They did the old ultrascan to see how much urine was still in the bladder AFTER I peed and it was over 200ml. Just had same done by my local URO and it was over 400!
Dr. Loewntz said he needed to do a scan (cystoscopy) to ck out the bladder as there are come situations where Aquablation is not recommended. I go back on 4 March and have that done. If Aquablation is a no go then HoLEP will most likely be the fall back.
Emory does HoLEP also.
More to follow.......
