I'm a 45yo male, 6ft 285lbs... I can't shake this weight. I gave up smoking, my diet isn't bad but I spent many years over eating and not really realizing it. My culture, we men are served BIG PLATES and it just never occurred to me how badly I was eating/overeating.

I recently went to the doctor to get some help because my heart, cholesterol, sugar etc are all in good shape for someone who spent a lot of years smoking and over eating. I was a decent athlete in both basketball and football but those days are gone. I came to find that my test levels were just at 400 and I was told that TRT would help me.

Right now I'm on 150 Test and I don't actually remember how much my HCG dosage is. HOWEVER, it's been 2 month and I'm not necessarily feeling GREAT. However, I feel like I'm gaining weight and NOT experiencing what I assumed would come...like energy levels and clarity.

My BIGGEST THING IS losing this damn weight and I was hoping that I could get some SERIOUS advice because my nutritionist seems more interested in my visits to drain my insurance AND what I can do to seriously take advantage of this treatment and what i can do to maximize my potential.

What can I do???

It's very hard to tell you what you should do, but as a personal recommendation for losing weight I recommend the keto diet (assuming everything else is in check). It is a very low carb diet (think Atkins' induction phase permanently), but if you are a fan of meats (beef, pork, etc) you will love this diet. Here is a good resource if you want to find out more about it: https://www.reddit.com/r/keto/

We could have a pretty good conversation if you can post any/all lab results and ranges that you might have.
