I've asked this in another thread, but wondered if others have experienced this with thyroid meds and high RT3.
My main question is, has anyone experienced sexual symptoms from high RT3? My main complaints are ED, lack of sensitivity, and severe delayed ejaculation. I've also had some recent...
Most nights I wake after a good nap. Last night about 2:30 woke right up. Maybe most people wake but return to sleep quickly perhaps. I was up until 4ish. Theanine wasn't enough to go back down. I decided to take T4(50ug) at that time. Takes about an hour I guess but woke sleeping like a baby...
I’m wondering if anyone has noticed less of an effect from time release T3? I switched to time release T3 this fall from the quick release version and I just recently had a full panel of labs done. To my surprise my rt3 had creeped up to 20.8 (9.2-24.1) and my TSH to 2.6 (.450-4.50). No...
I’m wondering if anyone has felt better without thyroid meds? I started t3 prior to trt due to elevated rt3. I’ve been on trt just shy of 2 years and still can’t find a balance. I generally test high on t3 and mid to low on t4. Been feeling really fatigued and lethargic lately. I trust Dr...
Hello, does anyone know how long ~about to get dhea and pregnenolone supplements out of system, that my dhea and pregnenolone crushes back on my pre stage levels?
Im going to test my ”natural” saliva 24h cortisol and saliva dhea-s and rT3 levels. I dont want That dhea and pregnenolone...
My latest labs show an elevated RT3, with a good FT3 . First time checking RT3, so not sure what it was at baseline. Taking 60mg NDT AM and 30mg in the afternoon.
Definitely less foggy and need less caffeine since starting NDT 1 yr ago, but could still nap most days if I had the...
I noticed that actual endocrinologists who treat patients for elevated RT3 using Cytomel often prescribe T3 dosages between 10 to 15 mcg per day.
Then I see other people who say they get 50+ mcg prescribed.
How do you determine what dose to use? Is there a danger taking 25 or 40 mcg?
Guys, does cytomel shut down your natural production of t3 in the body?
I just started taking 10 mcg daily to lower a high RT3 and incrrease a low normal t3.
Just saw a video stating that minimum dose should be 25 mcg daily as this is what the body produces naturally? They said it was like...
I'm doing great just sharing for the larger discussion that can be had, for others to learn.
I've been supplementing with T3 in the 5-10-20mcg once or twice per day the goal being to push my RT3 down a little bit for fatigue.
Have tit-rated the dose over the last month. I've lost a few pounds...
Pre-treatment:
TSH: 2.8 (0.45 - 4.5 uIU/mL)
Free T3: 2.7 (2.0-4.4 pg/mL)
Free T4: 1.4 (0.82-1.77 ng/dL)
rT3: 23 (9.2-24.1 ng/dL)
I was prescribed liothyronine and told to start with 5 mcg/day and titrate up to a maximum of 20 mcg. I tried the 5 mcg dose for a couple weeks, then went to 10 mcg...
I think this is an important discussion point that is not talked about when trying to dial in our thyroids. What are your thoughts/discoveries on this?
How reliable are free thyroid and total T3 hormone assays?
"Measurement of T3, FT3, and FT4 by the immunoassay methods commonly used by the...
I have been on TRT almost 6 years(now almost 1 year with Defy) now and my current TRT protocol is 40mg Test 3x week(Monday,Wednesday, Friday), 250 IU HCG 3x week(Monday, Wednesday, Friday), and .125 Anastrozole (Monday and Friday). They also currently have me prescribed 15 mcg of T3(Cytomel)...
I am on the lowest dose of synthyroid 25mcg. I also take 200mcg of selenium.
Do I need to increase synthyroid to up my T4 and reduce tsh?
What is considered a good RT3 level? if it is high should I add Cytomel?
Tsh 3.21 mIu/L (0.24-4)
Free T4 14.3 pmol/L (10-25)
Free T3 5.5 pmol/L...
I'm posting this for reference and information only but would welcome any insights/comments you all may have.
In June of 2018 I had blood work done after visiting my TRT doctor regarding fatigue and trouble sleeping. My sex hormones turned out to still be in the same good range that I had been...
I have three sets of labs at this point and see that my rT3 continues to increase while my t3 and t4 stay on the lower end of optimal. I feel better and some of my symptoms have improved (less dry skin, increase in energy, hair porosity has improved, etc). It was stated that I could get off of...
There is a lot of controversy about whether reverse T3 (rT3) should be measured to assess hypothyroidism. The normal thyroid gland secretes T4 (an inactive precursor), T3 (the active hormone), and reverse T3, a biologically inactive form of T3 that may block T3 from binding to the thyroid...
