As the title states, I am switching from 12mg T cypionate subq daily injections to Kyzatrex oral testosterone (I plan on detailing my journey in another thread when I have labs to share). I stopped my injections today and will not start taking Kyzatrex for a week. I have some questions about how...
On these forums you have so many people reporting side effects of being on T and asking for advice. For almost all of them you will see labs where they are running at top of range or above top of range of "normal" T/free T levels. It is extremely difficult (in some cases impossible) to convince...
I would be shocked too if he was started on 50mg T every 2 weeks but that T number is insanely low for 50mg 2xweek so just wanted to rule it out.
FYI...there are tons of doctors still prescribing 200mg every 2 weeks. A big men's clinic in my area does exactly this (with an AI too) for all their...
I have a friend that is a doctor that asked me, "What do you call the worst student in med school?" The answer is "Doctor". Once you get into med school all you have to do is pass to become a doctor.
Hiding under my rock called that's what my doctor told me to do when I started so I've always done it that way. Better late than never I guess.
It's so good I need to say it again. 31G x 5/16" insulin syringes are primo for subq injections!
Huge thank you to Willyt for making this post!
I am daily subq guy and have been injecting with 27G x 1/2" and drawing with 20G x 1 1/2" needles for years now. I usually get 2mg - 4mg of leakage of t cyp after injecting and some minor swelling after almost every injection.
After switching to...
I do 500iu 2xweek (MTH). My balls aren't back to normal, but I'd say they are halfway between raisins and normal size.
I did not notice any negatives from the HCG, but I also added 0.1mg anastrazole 2xweek (MTH) so I don't know if I would have had some sides from higher E2. I kept my T Cyp dose...
I was on T Cyp alone for 1.5 years. After 1.5 years I added hCG and the first things I noticed were my balls getting a little bigger and a major increase in ejaculate volume. I didn't really care about ejaculate volume at all, but it was so drastic that I immediately noticed it.
I don't know if it's the carrier oil or the manufacturer but I have local pain and swelling every time from certain manufacturers. So much so that I had to specifically request a certain manufacturer back when I was on non-compounded T Cyp through my local pharmacy. I have since switched to Defy...
Maybe it was just me then. I was so hyper vigilant. I was very surprised to see my wife's T was elevated.
One more interesting tidbit was that her endo was not concerned at all with my wife's T being 20% above top of range for women. She said that she was fine with those levels and just wanted...
I switched to injections after about 9 months on cream. I felt great on cream and the only side I had was I got acne on my back and in the middle of my chest that I never had before.
I switched because I have really sensitive skin and kept getting rashes and itchy bumps in my scrotal area that...
My doctor started all his patients on cream (applied to scrotum) and only 10% or so switched over to injections. He said that for the first 2 hours there is higher risk of transfer and he said if I was wearing clothes over the area to not worry about it.
That said, I was extremely vigilant in...
I know cream is expensive, but you might really like it. I felt amazing on cream. Might be worth the $100/mo. if you end up feeling good on cream.
Also, on cream, the T doesn't stay in your system for 6 weeks like it does on injections. It's gone in 12ish hours. This makes it much easier to...
My doc was a general physician that was mentored by Dr. Neal Rouzier so he started offering TRT to his patients several years ago. He was an amazing doc that would have gladly transferred my prescription to another doc, but there just aren't many docs that offer TRT to their patients that are...
Defy will not call in prescriptions for Testosterone to a local pharmacy unless it is in Florida. They will only call in non-controlled substance prescriptions to a local pharmacy for a fee that are out of state.
I have the same issue with them. I used to use GoodRx at my local pharmacy for T...
I had acne on my back and middle of my chest (that I never had before TRT) for almost 2 years when I was on just testosterone cypionate. I started anastrozole 2 months ago and it went away a week after starting and hasn't been back. High E2 definitely caused acne for me. Of course, as others...
Is there a standard dosing protocol for anastrozole? I've seen ED, EOD, twice a week, once a week and even once every two weeks.
How long does anastrozole stay in your system? Is there a point at which your E2 troughs relative to when you take a dose? Is there a certain time relative to dosing...
I've been injecting every day for 2 years and I still have sleep issues. I've never tried any other protocol. Maybe my sleep would be worse on less frequent injections.
I'll be curious to see if this works for you long term. Up until 2 months ago my E2 was sky high (1.5x to 2x top of range) and my sleep quality was about the same as it is now. I've been taking anastrazole for the last 2 months. Will have labs very soon.
I feel for you. Sleep is an issue for me too though not nearly as bad for me as it is for you.
I get 6.5-7 hours of sleep a night though I usually wake 2-3 times a night. I'm able to go back to sleep relatively quickly. I take 10mg of time release melatonin (half instant, half extended) 30...
I tried two different bases that were both compounded by Medquest. One was versabase, the other was Atrevis. If I remember correctly, I did not absorb hardly anything on the versabase. I absorbed ok on the Atrevis base. It took a ton of cream for me to get my testosterone levels to mid-high of...
I would also suggest something similar. I'd go to 50-60mg twice a week. To help you sleep now while the doses you already injected are getting out of your system I would also try taking melatonin every night. Start at 1mg and go up 1mg at a time until you sleep well. I would advise the extended...
I thought the same as you that 20% was the cap for the same reasons you said. My doc actually said basically the same thing and he uses 20%.
One men's clinic I had a consultation with in the Seattle area uses 30% compounded cream and they specifically do NOT apply it to the scrotum. They also...
AndroGel is 1.6% testosterone. Compounded cream is usually 20% (sometimes 30%) testosterone. The amount you absorb from compounded cream applied to the scrotum is drastically more than AndroGel applied anywhere else.
If your TT is at least 1000 and might be 1400-1600, you are running some fairly high numbers. Some people do fine with TT at those levels, but a lot of people have sides when they run TT at those levels.
Your sleeping issue is very common with people that run higher TT levels. You might want to...
No one is responding because you need to post more information. Specifically, you need:
TSH
Free T4
Free T3
These will give you a pretty good overall picture of your thyroid. Getting your thyroid to optimal can have a huge impact and is definitely worth pursuing. Unfortunately, since you...
