Don't have the time to reply fully, but you'd be one of a handful of men to have an aromatase deficiency, and usually it's very obvious.
Not sure what the LEFs hard stance against the sensitive test is, they sell labs, they should give options for people to buy labs, not get unwanted opinions.
I believe you're looking at this wrong, by asking if knowing how low your E2 actually is matters. As has been stated(by you as well), it may end up that a sensitive test reads higher than the standard, in which case that is critical information to have.
I've often believed I could predict my...
hCG wouldn't be injected every two weeks, and neither should testosterone. That's a terrible protocol.
hCG benefits vary from person to person, like any other drug, so you'll simply have to find out. What you've written so far regarding its benefits is mostly what I'd say they can be.
The testes will not respond to hCG very well, but the LH receptors all over the body will, primary hypogonadism typically effects the testes, meaning they are incapable of producing sufficient testosterone in response to LH or hCG.
There are other benefits to hCG other than just preventing...
Definitely get a thyroid panel done, as there's almost certainly something going on with that TSH level. Other than that you just look like you have low testosterone and I have faith Defy will help you out.
They do that to minimize expense for patients, but if you want to do it sooner, that's up to you. This way people aren't forced to spend more than is necessary. You get a choice in following up sooner, or saving money and following protocol.
Honestly, these are pretty standard labs for low testosterone, nothing really sticks out except for low Test and low E2. They're boring, which is good. I'd say you've found your problem.
Be happy with boring.
You're probably correct, I do recall reading somewhere that elevated E2 and elevated prolactin are linked, but Testosterone is NOT converted to prolactin.
Prolactin can cause gyno as well as E2. I was just making a technical distinction, not to be a know it all or anything, but just so that...
I mean, no one admits that it's psychosomatic, and personally I believe those that are adamant they're immune to the placebo effect or psychological causes of symptoms are even more susceptible to them.
Keep in mind you're also not telling your doctors all the information you're telling us...
I mean, UPS is experiencing issues as well as Empower due to the weather in that area, so really, it's unavoidable. Still not fun, even if it's no one's fault.
Yeah, no offense man, but that is terribly difficult to not categorize as hypochondria or psychosomatic, as people shouldn't be bothered by having normal body parts and the disappearance of problems.
Now that I think of it, have you actually verified any of the quantifiable symptoms?
This symptoms are usually more prolactin related as opposed to E2.
If anything, that's a good thing you're not having leakiness anymore.
Keep in mind, and you may not want to hear this, sometimes you can be too aware of everything you body is doing. Some of it may just be confirmation bias or...
Yeah, see lack of nipple "puffiness" isn't really a symptom.
Honestly I was more focused on your lack of hair, hair loss and nail issues because they are quantifiable.
It's like when someone says they're "dizzy". It has no clinical meaning, and depending on their accent it can mean vertigo...
The only other thing I can think of is that somehow the low E2 triggered an autoimmune reaction and set off some latent disorder you're genetically susceptible to.
A lot of conditions function that way, as in they have a genetic component that lies dormant with a trigger setting it off...
I found this:
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2637768/
That does seem to support your idea that crashing E2 can cause long lasting effects. Although the study refers to post menopausal women, which have significant differences than a 24 year old male so it may not be directly...
How do you feel?
Also, why wasn't the Estradiol Sensitive test ran? I know Defy only orders that one, unless you had a written prescription, which it looks like you did seeing as the reference ranges look like Quest's.
